I'm a huge Pac fan - but I'm so sad to say I can't see him beating Shane.

It's safe to say anyone still unimpressed by him now never will be converted.

However, a win over Shane at 144 simply can not be as impressive as a win over him at 147. It won't be for a welterweight belt in any legit sense, and it will be making yet another older fighter make a weight he hasn't made in forever. Who needs papers signed to know that dropping those three "little" pounds could have a massive impact on Shane's body?

It's still a great fight, but it's a toss up who is actually taking the greater risk here.

Well that's sad but TRUE. I wish Pac could fight him at 147. That would just leave the "OLD" excuse in there. :D

Seriously, that's what catch weights are for. It's a mechanism for having boxers who don't belong inside the ring together... well get inside the ring together. Pac's saying he's a 140 pounder. Shane's calling him out. Ok, then let's meet each other halfway.

Yeah it sucks that Pac's a midget.

Shane Mosely will beat the **** out of that goofy southpaw. He can't handle even an old Mosely's skills.

Pac can outwork Mosely. Pac has balls the size of church bells for taking this fight. Void refused to fight Pac, Mosely, Cotto, Margarito, etc.

The one fight I'll be rooting for and favoring Pacquaio in (not really) and it's a fight that he may very well lose. Again, I'll be favoring him, still.

Isn't the point of catchweights to meet in the middle so as not to give an unfair advantage to either fighter? I see a lot of posts questioning why Pacquiao won't go to 147 to fight Shane while he fought Oscar at 147. Oscar was a natural 154 lb'er while Pac was at the time a 135 lb'er so they have to meet in the middle (actually nearer to DLH's weight) so that either won't have a dis/advantage. Since Pac and Shane do not fight in the same division, they have to meet in the middle, which I think is fair.

While we know that Pac on fight night fights at 144-148, Shane fights close to or at 160 in the ring in his WW fights. An unfair advantage for Pac considering they have different natural weights.

Dude, the point is the EXPERIENCE, WEIGHT, HEIGHT AND BODY SIZE of PBF is nearer Mosley than JMM and yet he choose somebody who has all the disadvantages against him in terms of the categories mentioned above.

I Think this is a winnable fight for Pac...I really do. Style wise I think it's a more winnable fight for him than Floyd. And on top of this I'm not sure how easy it will be for Mosley to make the weight..he was at 154 just last year!!!

If anybody missed my eallier post . . . I was saying that Mosley hasn't fought below 147 in the last ten years.

. . . so I'm not expecting the Mosley who beat Margarito at 147 to show up against Pac if the fight is at 143 or 144.

This is a very winnable fight.
