I'm a JMM fan but he didn't beat Pac

I had Pac winning both fights, Marquez is a tough fighter so even if they fight again it will be close. Some people are making a big deal out of this even though Pacquiao is no longer at 135. As Pacquiao said, he had the guts to move up to 147 for a fight not many are giving him a chance in, if he wins then Marquez might want to do the same if he wants to avenge his loss. As far as I remember it was Pacquiao who reached out for Marquez TWICE when everyone considered him one of the most avoided fighters in boxing.

You must have been watching a different fight from me then because I had Marquez a 115-113 winner (7-4-1)

If you think JMM was more hurt than Pac then you should check rd 8 which was borderline 10-8 for JMM (I gave 10-9)

JMMs resume is very underrated...Would have love for him to have fought a prime MAB which had the style to beat him IMHO..

But lets leave this topic alone..both fighters are great..clashing styles..no one is running theyve already fought twice...Hand it to PAC for squeakin by against a fighter all wrong for him..And hand it to JMMs heart for being knocked down and coming back strong...also for his amazing technical abilities

Try posting a bit more before using that one to legitimize yourself. We'll judge for ourselves, you could very well be a Pacquiao fan.

JMM won both fights, that was my initial thought and scoring when i watched them live and having watched them a few times since i still score them the same.

 

Im on the same boat, it really is hard to give a close fight to someone who just backs up the whole fight. Especially when your not clinically and methodically dissecting the aggressor. Purely based on each fighting style, Pac did a commendable job. The problem is lke you said---high expectations for Pac based on total domination of the likes of MAB and EM in his couple of previous fights. Pac didn't dominate but if that was MAB or Chris John with a similar performance, I'd venture to say that the judges would've given it to MAB or Chris John.
