Hatton would bully pac and stop him in 6, he is to big and to strong and he hits far harder then anything pac has seen.

Yes, if hatton were able to walk manny down and bully him with his strength, then ricky will wear him out and beat him down. But seeing the way manny moved in the ring on the weekend, hitting diaz with everything from the outside with power, whilest not gettin hit with that in and out style of his, I can't really see ricky beeing able to land on the fiesty phillipino. If manny were able to keep his distance the way he did against diaz, we may see manny come away with the W.

Having said all that, ricky is in a totally different class to diaz and will not let manny tee off like he did yesterday without dishing out a little punishment himself. Would be a good fight and I will remain undecided on the winner untill I see manny in there with an elite lightweight, and untill I see how well he does with the extra 5lb jump to 140. I don't see the weight jump beeing too much of a problem after seeing his performance on the weekend.

people who think anything less are...well.... I dont think they are being realistic.

Manny Pacquiao is a descent boxer. he boxes about as well as an average mid level top 20 contender. his power and explosiveness is what makes him so dominant. the problem with this is that Ricky Hatton is not gonna stand outside and let manny pick at him, and Manny will NOT out-box Ricky Hatton. Hatton would push and shove and batter Pac-man into a career ending beat down depending on just how brave manny was on that night. I'd bank on Manny being the fireball he is and landing a few good combos but Hatton stops him with a body shot to cap off at least the 4th knockdown by round 9....

sorry pac, your my boy but thats NOT the fight you wanna chase:bart

Manny beats the under classmen of 135 and now he can beat anyone ??I hope him and Ricky meet ..If anyone has the will and tenacity its Manny to do the unthinkable but lets be real ..He has not fought a legit jr welter ..Let see what happens when he can't faze a guy like Ricky ..Right now there is no argument who the best fighter p4p is that is Manny but im not convinced that he will do the same to the Hitman as he did Diaz ..

pac vs hatton... pac is heavy underdog.. but after seeing hattons last fight and pac's last fight. I give pac 50/50 chance!.. in other words, pac is capable of upsetting the heavily favored hatton..

PAC and Roach knows their limitations. They said they could go up to 140max.

Let me get this clear.. if the fight of pac vs hatton is this nov. Hatton beats pac..

if pac unifies the 135lbs or fights other top caliber from the 135lbs then fights hatton late next year... I'll give pac a 50/50 chance of winning over hatton!

Like I said, hatton is still heavy favorite but pac is capable is defying the odds..

Pac eats him alive and spits him out! Hatton is one dimensional. Jump in...one punch...clinch! Pac is way too speedy for the clumsy Hatton! Ricky is on the decline anyway!

what Pac gives up in size to Hatton, he more than makes up for in being much much better than Hatton. Pac is favourite to win in my opinion and would probably win by KO.
Lazacano was smaller yet rocked Hatton badly a couple of times...the ref saved him.

i hate to disagree pelican, but i give pac a 6 out of 10 chance to beat the hitman. hatton may be a some level ahead of diaz but that is enough only to make the fight very competitive instead of a one-sided beatdown as the diaz fight was. hatton's only chance is to push pac and land his body shots but as i often mention, pac is hard to catch because of his unorthodox quick footwork. now he is even more difficult to catch as he seemed to integrate circling around and lateral movements with that footwork. hatton also has horrible defense which is comparable to diaz's and i don't know if his chin is as good as that of diaz who seemed to eat pac's best punches in the early rounds without trouble. hatton was getting wobbly from lascano's punches and lascano does not have the speed/power and volume punching of pac. hatton will have a hard time swarming pac when pac unloads those mean uppercuts and left straights/hooks. plus, hatton will need to defend against a two fisted attack. from yesterday's fight, pac seemed to have landed more right jabs and right hooks than his vaunted lefts and they sting just the same. finally, hatton seems to tire quickly after the mayweather fight. for his questionable stamina alone, i have a feeling malignaggi may have a good chance to spoil this mega-fight between hatton and pac. suppose hatton gets away with malignaggi but his stamina continues to deteriorate, he may not see the the 12th round against manny as manny is a very active fighter in the ring and hatton may need every bit of oxygen in his gas tank to chase manny. of course you may say manny's stamina is also untested at 140, but i think manny's showing against diaz at 135, pouring out every punch in his arsenal without getting punched out and tired is sign that he will do fine. he came to fight at 147 lbs and diaz has landed some body punches on his own too and pac didn't show any sign of trouble.

a great plan for pac is to control his tempo in the early rounds against hatton, try to weather the early storm, move in circles and vary this with in-and-out footwork while landing potshots in volume. then pour out after the sixth round to a unanimous decision or maybe a late KO.

The Diaz fight showed nothing to suggest how a fight with Hatton would play out. In the Diaz fight Manny acted like the bigger and stronger man, Manny had him moving backwards all night, can Manny do that to Hatton? Can Manny fight well going backwards? As if he engages Hatton it's good night, he'll have to be on his bike and I'm not convinced he's able to fight backwards to the level he'd need to be at to beat Hatton.

Hatton isn't the same fighter anymore, he's on a downward spiral and is there for the taking for any top ranked light-welter or an elite at 135.

This time last year I would have laughed at this potential matchup but a Manny Pac KO doesn't seem as ridiculous as it would have before.

I think you're overly concerned my friend. No way would Hatton give Pac the space he would need to bounce punches off him like he did to Diaz.

hatton maybe one dimensional fighter, but it was one hell of a great dimension that would be too much for somebody who started fighting at minimumweight. remember that it was the same dimension which stopped p4p elite natural 140er kostya tszyu.

    great post.:good

after seeing how 135er diaz merely laughed off at pacs powerful combos, we can say that pacs power, or whatever that is left of it during the process of gaining extra pounds, wont accompany him anymore on his meeting with hatton at 140. all that is left for him to rely upon in this fight was his machinegun punching and that beautiful in-and-out footwork. if hatton was able to close the gap against pbf, what could stop him from swarming all over pac? sure people can say that hatton, because of his poor D, would eat lots of lead right jabs and hooks before he would be able to get himself in a position to throw his bombs and clinch pac into a rough infighting, but pacs greatly diminished power wont bother him at all, imho. remember that we are talking about a guy who has a very solid chin.

just one well placed body shot and pac is in great trouble all throughout the fight.
