    Could be to his detriment against Mayweather. Yea yea I know, another weight issue, but if I had to base Canelo's last performance against Trout, I would say, it was more of a detriment than an advantage.

    At times during that fight Canelo looked lethargic and slow, and I would like to give Trout credit by saying it was due to great body work, but that would be a flat out lie. He was economical with his punches in that fight to say the least, so it couldn't have been from his work rate. It was a relatively slow pace in which Alvarez fought in spots.

    So in conclusion, I believe Alvarez's size was more of a hindrance than it was helpful, and I actually think if he and Mayweather were to fight he would stay closer to 154 at fight night than try to come in at 170+.

    Listen if Canelo did not have his size advantage he would not have anything to offer to Floyd, if he was 147 fighter he would not win more than 1 round!

    Canelo's accuracy would come in handy against floyd, and he could actually bully floyd if given the opportunity so that's where the size could come in handy

    Accuracy:oops: he did not face anyone who has 10% of Floyd defense or slickness, being accurate against fighters he faced and legitimate ATG defensive wizard is huge huge difference!

    his size will help him. it wont hurt him at all. somebody that big that throws 5-6 punch combos is what can hurt Mayweather. not say beat him but canelo has the best chance

    @buckdacious

    His size helps him if he does not get tired. Unfortunately for Mayweather he does not really push the pace, so we know it won't be the pace of the fight, but I'm beginning to think he migh be better served to stay as close to 154 on fight night. 170 gives him a strength advantage, but could give him stamina issues if Mayweather can make him work and MISS.

    I've said it before, I really think Alvarez's power is a little overrated, I'm using Mosley as the measuring stick. When Mayweather fought Mosley he had Mosley stunned a few times, especially in the 10th round with a body shot. When Alvarez fought him, he hit him everything and Mosley never appeared to be hurt in the least. People have said it was due to the glove size, but I believe they wore 10oz. which is standard for 154.

    I agree that if he comes in over 170 he will be gassed in the later rounds.

    I think he has some serious power. from what i seen it doesnt look like 1 punch KO power, but the combos that keep getting put together just drains fighters. Trout got hit by a straight right and was all dazzed up

    You do know that not every fighter is on a C level like Guerrero correct?

    Everyone knew Robert was a borderline bum before the fight even happened so don't act like mayweathers god for beating a guy that went life and death with a d fighter in avdin

    Canelo

    I know that Floyd's defense is on a whole nother level, but canelo is also a better fighter than anyone floyd has faced recently

    Well RG did not win more than one round i said Canelo would win no more than two if they were same size, meaning if Floyd and Canelo had same fight night weight, and i stand by my previous post, Floyd would 9 3 at best for Canelo:bart

    True but only two advantages Canelo has on Floyd is power and size nothing else is even close.

    :good

    Canelo is a smart boxer, put his shots together stays calm and has uncanny accuracy. Canelo does not swing for the fence, he times you.
