Liak's career in top contention fizzled out so quickly, I consider his win over McCline to be more significant and that's not saying too much. I can't quite understand why Briggs was ever relevant. I consider Rahman to be more accomplished, with his flukey one punch win over Lennox. But what has Briggs ever done to deserve merit or attention? Was it some secret, unconscious homoerotic love for his muscles? Anyone?

I have always thought like Manny Steward that Briggs is a nightmare matchup for Wlad and its the reason that Steward nixed the fight several years ago. Which is why im not shocked that Vitali is fighting him. Vitali will beat Briggs because he is by far the tougher of the two and doesnt fall apart like little brother when he gets hit.

The Peter/Wlad fight is interesting to me, for two reasons. One Peter felt that he beat Wlad the first time, and also thought that he should have knocked him out. Because of that I think that Peter will come out fast and hard. Secondly Wlad is at the point in his career when the best doesnt always show up on fight night mid 30's, If Wlad has slowed abit and Peter comes out hard there could very well be a new champ.

I wouldnt bet on either Briggs or Peters unless I got like 50-1 odds then I would throw 100 on either or both. Im not in a habit of just giving away money on long shots. It would be one thing if they werent both so ****ing lazy in the ring.
