..Unless his name is Floyd Mayweather.

Personally, I'd love to see Canelo move up to 160 and get KO'ed by Martinez. Too bad GBP won't let Canelo in the same timezone as Sergio...

Floyd would embarrass him. And he'd get his cap peeled @ 160.

He was just in there with a very live body.

He's not ready for Martinez, or Floyd.

Honestly, tell me what exactly do you see in Trout, because what I see is an average fighter in every sense of the word, am I missing something because he didn't look good at all to me...and Canelo didn't impress either...

An average fighter doesn't beat a veteran champion like Cotto, even if he was past his best. Very quick jab, complete punch arsenal, good footwork, good punching form, good upper body movement, solid timing. He's not spectacular in any one area but he's solid and complete.

Canelo isn't suddenly a P4P great but this is one of the better wins at 154 in recent years. Especially considering the fact he's ****ing 22 years old.

Absolutely not, Canelo landed the harder shots, especially in the second half of the fight. Getting backed up doesn't mean you're not landing the harder shots. I'm sure if their positions were reversed all the people claiming robbery would be commending Trout's skills for landing accurate power punches while retreating. Trout fought well but didn't outland him with superior quality in 7 whole rounds.

A sizable majority of viewers saw it this way.

Both looked bad today and trout won the fight, the most disgusting thing was seeing Sulaiman puttingit canelo the belts before the sobrecarga and decision was given, I want to see this golden fraud go down, like Chávez jr. He is an entertaining fighter and above le el but no where near elite just like canelo, and what was even crazier was the spanish broadcast from showtime where comparing canelo with Chávez Sr. Thats idiotic

Lol. This sport is called BOXING, this isn't a tough man competition. The fact that Canelo landed the harder shots is MEANINGLESS. He got outboxed, period - end of story. Who was the effective aggressor? Who was the ring general? Who had the better defense? Trout.

I thought both looked very good. Both were sharp, both were making adjustments, both had a chance to show toughness, both displayed various offensive and defensive skills. These aren't ATG's by any stretch but they are solid championship-level fighters.
