I'm certain that Marciano would be accused of PEDs for the Moore fight.

Best part of the fight, Moore shouldn' have tried to slug it out toe to toe with rocky, but gotta admire the nuts on the man.

But yeah all fighters are being accused of juicing now a days, marciano would have been no exception to that, especially since if marciano was a modern day fighter he might be bigger than tua. Unless he was convinced to fight as a light heavy or cruiserweight

My breakdown of this fight https://imgur.com/gallery/xn2lt . Rocky was a freak in terms of power and stamina and his insane training camps made the most of it. Very few 175lbers ever could keep up that workrate for as long as he could.

Now, if you watch a good amount of boxing, you get the sense for how much energy a fighter typically expends on an attack. Even for a finishing attack. You have the sense for when they threw too many punches, and need to cool down or reset. Even guys with crazy work rates like Manny Pacquaio need their resets, cool downs and such. Fighters can only go so far.

When you watch it, ask yourself when you think he threw too many punches and should probably cool down.

And then, once you hear the commentator go "Now he punches back! Now he punches back!" look how he seems to transform into something not human.

Lets bear in mind he was facing an old veteran of 39/40? Rocky trained like a fanatic and lived like a monk.With his stature and style he needed to to achieve the heights he did.

 

The only surprising thing here (which has nothing to do with PED) is how inaccurate and sloppy Marciano is picking his shots until he finally catches Moore on the back of the head to chop him again. He certainly knew his stamina...

I actually get the impression from that clip he was being careful just to not let himself get too tired, taking short pauses and making each shot count. Compare it to say when Joshua just totally emptied his tank against Wlad in round 5. And it takes a surprisingly little change in tempo to completely change how sustainable it is.

Moore said that by the time of the Marciano fight his legs were gone ,so he really didn't have any choice but to meet Rocky head on.Recalling the fight he said," Rocky got to me by sheer bulldogging ruggedness and once he got me in a position where he could hit me it was the end".

 

At this point we've seen loads of dude swallowing PEDs and putting on shows. No one does it like Rock. PEDs can't bring that **** on. If they could someone else would do it like Rock.

Yes, to the question if it happened last night folks would be shouting PEDs, but looking at history I reckon Rocco makes PEDs look like some powder puff bull****. A counterfeit version of him, just like what they are. Looks good, looks right, until you take a better look and notice that **** says Cucci not Gucci. Same dif, Marciano makes PED swallowers look like cheap knockoff at best.

Marciano locked himself away in the Catskills....worked his ass off....no newspapers....no phone calls....no distractions...just focus on his opponent!!! His power...stamina....high work rate..."kill or be killed" attitude speaks volumes. He didn't need any help from PED's...
