Mayweather would not do good, look at Baldomir. Only 325k.

Boxing you need to have a Strong B side to have a big PPV. No one, and even DLH can carry a PPV by himself.

I'm not sure how Tyson did either against lack luster opponents.

You know what, knowing how Floyd markets a fight if you ask me whether he could do 400k with an unknown, I wouldn't doubt it, im sure he would find away. He always does.

Yea. I learned about it a few months after I started the process of joining the navy.

So instead of trying to work around ****, I am just going to go full head of steam at them with what I can get together and then, that will be that.

    QUOTE UliUli;

"I don't deny that Mayweather has a nice little fan base, but his fan base will NEVER buy him even 500K alone like Oscar's who bought like 950K to watch him in a tune up vs Campas, that is a true PPV star".

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT FIGURE FROM?

    J.C Chavez II( 9/9 525,000 buys = $23.6 million
    Ike Quartey( 2/99) 570,000 buys =$25.7 million
    Felix Trinidad(9/99) 1.4 million buys = $71.4 million
    Shane Mosley(6/00) 590,000 buys = $29.5 million
    Javier Castillejo(6/01) 400,000 buys = $16.0 million
    Fernando Vargas(9/02) 935,000 buys = $47.8 million
    Yory Boy Campas(5/03) 350,000 buys = $17.5 million
    Shane Mosley II( 9/03) 950,000 buys = $48.4 million
    Felix Sturm(6/04) 380,000 buys = $19.0 million
    Bernard Hopkins(9/04) 1 million buys = $56.0 million
Ricardo Mayorga (05/06) 875,000 buys (note, my other source says 925,000)

I may or may not have been accurate with the #s. But it's just one example.

    Here's a better example:

Mayorga vs Oscar did 925,000 buys.

    What was Mayorga vs Mosley????

DLH vs Mosley did 950,000 buys.

    What was Mosley vs Winky?

    PBF vs Mosley would flop.

These two post work together see below~~~~~

Baldimor did 325k and this was when Baldimor just pulled off an upset over Judah and who had also just got done finishing Gatti, so Boxing fans got to know Baldimor a bit off of these two fights and it still only did 325k in fighting Floyd.

No look at the Campos numbers of which Campos hasnt really done **** in this sport he has been more of a gatekeeper than anything, more less a journeyman in the game and that fight 3 years earlier still did more than Floyd vs Baldimor a man who boxing fans got to know about in two fights against two guys that were well known.:deal

Mosley Oscar did 950 in the rematch.

But you are using the same type of examples I have been.

Look at what Oscar did with these names, yet these same names could draw nearly as good (or even get on PPV) as him.

I've been saying the same thing for Mayweather and his last fights.

That's because Oscar was a mega star by this time. Baldomir was Floyd's 3rd PPV. What was that for Oscar, like his 13th?

Point is Mosley is NOT a strong PPV fighter, but DLH vs Mosley was huge.

Mayweather vs Mosley. The only people that would buy that are the hardcore and the few Mayweather loyalists.

DLH-Mosley was huge because he beat Oscar the first time around.

Look at the first fight. Only 590k compared to the rematch.

And that reason was becuase Winky wasnt a big draw here in the states, Mosley was basicly Oscars Equal in talent but still wasnt the cash cow, Times have changed, Mosley has come back after the set backs with Forrest and with Winky, his last fight speaks for itself I am not going to sugar coat it.
He dominated and destroyed a man that beat the life out of Cotto, a man who was able to squeeze out a Dec over himself. that right there if that doesnt spell rebound for you then nothing will.

He has bounced back and did so against a guy that Floyd turned down 8 Million to fight, and with that, there you have your promotion...
Mosley Mayeather IMO will do more than 1 Million buys.

Mayweather is very well know to all mexican and mexican american boxing fans. All my uncles who watch boxing bought the fight to support marquez, but more so to watch marquez fight mayweather.
