If you think that the promoters are going to invest more money in promotional advertisements more than they do in paying the fighters.....you're dumber than I thought.

Promotional duties are a complicated business.......there are companies and corporations that enter into it as well with there own money to sponsor the event.
Tecate beer made alot of fight posters and commercials promoting the event......it is they who put down the money in advertising the fight and there product, not GBP!

The sponsors likely spend more money in advertising than the promoters themselves......so if indeed 20 million was invested to promote the fight, it did'nt all come from GBP's, most of it came from the sponsors promoting there product along with the fight.

......just fess up and admit you were wrong buxzer....JMM-Mayweather outsold Pac-Hatton, just like I predicted!:deal:yep

Well considering Floyd was coming back out of retirement, that will draw numbers too.

It's clearly stated in the article that HBO and GBP spend that $20 million, it's not only GBP...

As an example of the marketing expenses, the production of 24/7 series could cost a lot just like the cost of producing a movie... A big budgeted movie can cost from $100 million and up... Just imagine that...

You saying that promotions/marketing spending in a boxing fight cannot surpass the boxers' purses is only your opinion... unless you can provide here a solid fact... You can't judge other people's intelligence based purely on your personal opinion... Provide some facts dude...

Do people actually believe these numbers are fake. HBO are a PLC. They cant announce fake inflated PPV sales.

Bob Arum talking inflated PPV numbers is not the same at all.

What makes you think black people are fans of Floyd?
Floyd isn't Tyson, or Holyfield, or Roy Jones, or Bernard Hopkins, or even Shane Mosley. I think the people who watched him where white and hispanic, the people who watched him knock out Hatton and decision DLH wanted to see him get beat. Since Floyd doesn't really fight black fighters why would he have black people buying his ppvs in droves?

dude get lost already. How many times are you going to let yourself look like a fool. The facts are already in, PBF/JMM was a success, when you thought it would flop. Nothing more needs to be said. I just thought I would let you know because I don't know if you realize how stupid you look. It's starting to snowball now and hopefully you'll realize it before you are forced to change your user name to 'fool'.

I think you're forgetting that pac-marquez 2 didn't do half the numbers this fight did. Although certainly Pacquiao's stock and with it probably his drawing power has risen since then.
Fighting DLH certainly did wonders for Floyd's numbers!

Nobody called you a Pac fan. If you can't beat him, join em is your mentality lol... Pac doesn't know you lol... You aren't Mexican. You are just a boxer who uses the gym with other police or firemen, and got a glimpse of the man lol... Our views don't conflict with each other. I know boxing, and you don't. Plain and simple.

With the exception of Dlh and Tyson, every other fighter needs an opponent with a huge fan base to sell.

THIS POST = EVERY HATER THAT WAS AT FIRST SAYING FLOYD-JMM WOULD FLOP IN SALES AND THAT ARE NOW SAYING THAT ITS CUZ OF JMM THAT IT DID 1 MILLION BUYS BEING OWNED...

THIS JUSS PROVES THAT FLOYD CANT WIN WITH PEOPLE WHO JUSS PLAIN AND SIMPLE DONT LIKE HIM OR WHATEVER IT MAY BE....

MOST (NOT ALL) OF THE FANS THAT SAID JMM-FLOYD WOULD DO HORRIBLE IN PPV SALES ARE NOW TRYING TO MAKE THEMSELVES LOOK BETTER BY BRINGING UP DEMOGRAPHICS AND JMM BEING THE DRAW..

I THINK FANS LIKE BUXZER JUSS HAVE A HARD TIME WITH THE TRUTH AND ARE JUSS IN DENIAL..:deal:bbb

LETS KEEP THE HATE COMIN :happy:happy
