Why even bother with #, do you see Wladimir Klitschko bragging about drawing 11 million homes in Germany alone? do you hear him boasting about filling football arenas?

We all should just enjoy the fact that boxing draws, period.

I believe that. JMM did help with the PPV numbers but I still have to give Floyd most of the credit.

    Requote for top of page.

    Let's look at the facts.

Marquez last two PPVs did 400k and 100k (Pac 2 and Casamayor)

Now he doubles that in 1 PPV in Mayweather. But he was the draw.

    Let's look at Hatton

Did not have a PPV in the USA before this. Hits 920k or so with Mayweather. Record PPV in UK.

In his fight with Pac he failed to reach this point.

    Now let's look at DLH.

Mayweather - DLH 2.4 Million Buys

Last 3 PPVs before Mayweather were

    Mayorga, Hopkins, Sturm

    Mayorga-DLH - 935,000

    Hopkins - DLH - 1 Million

    Sturm - DLH - 380,000.

DLH's last 3 PPVs do not equal what he did with Mayweather.

Yet none of the last fighters Mayweather fought had ever been on such successful PPVs before but it was them that did the drawing.

And stop acting like Mayweather fought a nobody it wouldn't be this high.

of course it wouldn't be this high! Not even DLH could draw great if he didn't have a strong B side.

His best PPV against someone not worthy of PPV was Javier Castillejo that did 400k.

So please stop acting like DLH was some king of PPV when he himself needed a strong B side to do great.

It was on ZDF, not PPV.

It's still more than any of the Americans can do in non-PPV on American soil.
Mike Tyson may have been the last one to draw that much.

Yea but he's a heavyweight. Heavyweights always get more.

Tyson was the PPV king for sure but compare it to non HWs and it's amazing.

It was a success but it failed to reach the same point.

It was not a failure of a PPV at all.

Although it lasted two ****ing rounds. *******. 30$ per round.

Of all of them, I say Hatton has the biggest group of followers. Floyd Mayweather has a small group of fan.

Nobody said to be a fan you have to go watch him live, However if Floyd is the draw he would have people comming out to see him fight a draw does not mean PPV sales only it means tickets sales as well kid, and thats something that all Floyd supporters tend to ignore and rather than to admit thats the truth, you all throw out there "PPV is where the moneys at" do you not think there is any money in Ticket sales? :huh

    .
Why dont you tell me why DLH FMJ did 2.4 million cus I think I could use a good laugh today, IMO the reason it did that many buys is becuase it was a test for Floyd, against Boxings Golden Child basicly Oscar was and still is the cash cow of the lower divisons, if he wasnt guys like Hopkins, Mayweather, Mosley, and Trinidad along with Vargas would have never even bothered fighting him.
So IMO you had the P4P#1 best fighter in the world FMJ undefeated known for fighting lesser opponents stepping up to a real challenge in Oscar DLH, again even for such a huge event the turn out for ticket sales clearly favored Oscar.

Now I know you brought up Marquez, and I did not say that Marquez was a draw, However Marquez stepping up in weight to fight Mayweather did attract the Mexican fight fans to the MGM with Tickets in hand again how many FLoyd fans were there?:think
Now in terms of PPV there is no way to say that was all Floyd or all Marquez, but I can tell you this, based on the fans we saw at the MGM its likely that Marquez could have been the one carrying this event, he had Mexico behind him and entire country, and you think Mexican american fans wont tune in to show support?

Truth is with PPV we dont know, what I can say is that its clear at Floyds fights that its often the other guys fans that tend to buy tickets.......

I will bet anyone that if Mayweather fights a black man, including Shane Mosley, it will NOT do over 1 million, guranteed.

Marquez has been making a name for himself lately, and if anyone has been to the South West U.S., you guys will see how much JMM has been marketed lately.
