You know i picked a mistake that he does everytime. When he goes through Amir's achievements and goes through the fighters... instead of saying Marcos Maidana he say's Marcos Rubio and then say's Marcos Maidana lol. Richard is the better vocal speaker imo.
You think George Foreman designed, engineered, marketed, promoted and sold the Lean Mean Fat Grilling Machine?!?! Oscar's certainly not the brains of the operation, but he's also no slouch. He's well known so he gets his face out there, while the backroom staff do the nitty gritty. Not to take anything away from him, but I don't think anyone really believes he's running the show.
Of course he's not the brains, that's why shaefers there, an educated banker was brought to run ****. Oscar is merely the face of the company, and apparently, not a great speaker. Big deal, I'm grateful the company OS doing great things for boxing, like spitting out great fights time and time again.
anybody actually believe him when he said Victor Ortiz was young and hungry during the floyd/ortiz promotion? And that he was a better fighter than Manny Pacquiao (ESPN FNF)
He could just be tired. He has been on radio before and sounded lively and good. But sometimes you hear him a bit worn down. It's normal. Promoting isn't his only venture and responsibility. And then who knows what is going on with his daily life. GBP seems top class. Richard may be running things but The Golden Boy's face and signature on things is a huge plus.
He usually snorts a rail or two before this type of thing, but he left it at home in his other purse.
