i think his new training methods will help him out, even though he has a dodgy chin he wasn't helping himself with the way he was training and fighting, he was getting some bad advice from a rugby guy in bolton and just working weight machines

it looks to me like they've slimmed him down up top and put more strength in his legs, he had pathetically skinny legs, your punching power comes from your legs, strong trunks and neck could help him out with his chin

I dont know. I just didnt like how he "sexed-up" the Barrera win, when he wasn't looking too hot in there to be honest, from what I've seen on Youtube. This Kotelnik is obviously the real deal and has a good chin and throws a decent jab/straight which could be enough to rock Kahn.

That being said I would like Kahn to win as I feel sorry for him, he does get more crap than he deserves, he needs to fight prescott again but doubt it will happen, he's moving into "world class" levels now.

oh and the odds on Kotelnik by KO were too good to pass on.

    what are the odds?

i'm not a big believer in this 5 pounds making a difference in khans chin and people comparing him to cotto, cotto was draining himself and getting wobbled by bombers while khan is just chinny, what will help more then the 5 pounds is getting away from those bodybuilding exercises and roach's game plan

Jim Watt says he would bet on Kotelnik late on...must admit that's my feeling.

Khan should constantly jab and move around, at least in the earlier rounds. A few clever and accurate punches in between will help him, but he shouldn't throw blind flurries in the beginning. I think first few rounds without getting hit will help his mental strength. Once settled in the game, he could open up with his speed. I hope he doesn't try to prove the crowd how good he is and just remains focussed about winning the fight until it actually ends.

big mistake to start slowly, kotelnik is notorious for starting poorly and khan must capitalize and put rounds in the bank but without tiring himself out as thats what kotelnik waits for in the sound half of the fight

That nervous energy. That's a concern. He needs to calm down play safety first.Often times he get's riled up and want's to trade willy nilly. And starts reaching from the outside he needs to be mindful of the opponent punches, keep his hands up,so he don't get caught with any silly stuff. But the speed Adv is clear.I am sure Khan is improved.GO KHAN!!

I'm going to bet at ladbrokes for Khan to win by stoppage in rounds 6-12....paddypower have better odds overall but I llike this bet.

I think for the smaller event type fights ladbrokes are the best for boxing but the big ones are usually better for William Hill and paddypower.

Stylewise Kotelnik is perfect for Khan. Chinwise Khan is porcelain. Khan will be winning when he is stopped. ***an and Barrera proved nothing. Limond and Gomez proved a lot,
the main thing being Kotelnik can hurt Khan.

Here's one hoping Khan's chin holds up better at this more natural weight of 140. Iam getting the feeling Khan will take some shots at some point but he will just eat them up, lets see not long left now.
