naa, its b/c there is way too many people on here over hyping this guy and the rest of us that need to set them straight. I never liked Lacy or Kessler, so that argument is mute in my case...

well .. how can he be hyped? .. hopkins was suposed to whoop him .. so was the rest .. he keeps plowing through them ! ..

where is the hype? ..if 80 percent of a group of people think this guy is garbage and will lose to anyone worth a damn how can he be over hyped?

He's a hype job because the only legimate name on his resume is an old Hopkins and now instead of fighting the best out there today, he chooses to fight Jones (at past his prime). He coninues to say how he wants to go down as one of the best, but rather than fight the current best he chooses to fight the past best. (if that makes any sense)

joe c can make a case for being passed his prime?? .. is it joe cs fault that roy jones admitted he didn't want anything to do with joe c in his prime??

jeff lacy was suposed to kill him ...i remember this site leading up to it .. everybody swore up and down joe c was going in for a murder...

kessler?..same **** ..people said joe c was ducking him ..that the 2 arm punching power of kessler was gonna murder joe c .. well then joe c walked through his **** ... now kessler wont fight anybody...

i'm sick of these arm chair know it alls that swear up and down a guy is going to get beat then when it dont happen they make all hell excuses for them

maybe YOU don't and if you don't then i respect where your comming from ..but lets get real ..if joe c takes this 160 pound fighter out do you know how many threads will be made stateing joe c fights smaller fighters? ..

i partly agree but you cant say lacy and kessler are not legit top 168 campaigners who were younger and both undefeated world champions.

its better than fighting and makin a name for yourself by beating blown up welterweights.

or tarver who beat jones and thats about all hes done.

or even the g man who got his ass beat by nigel benn

But Calzaghe's freakin' old himself. He's pushing 37, and is past his prime too. He beat Kessler, the guy who had beaten up everyone else in his division, and beat him convincingly. He beat an old Hopkins, but a very strong and physically larger Hopkins. Looked terrible doing it, but everyone looks terrible against Hopkins, and most all of them lose. I can't see how Calzaghe's a hype job. He just wins and wins. A bunch of the competition was subpar during his career, sure, but same with Hopkins; same with RJJ; same with Tyson; same with lots of great champions. ATG is something for posterity to bestow on a fighter, not the guys on this board, me included. So, I'll allow time to determine where Calzaghe stands.

i don't think pavlik is small, in fact pavlik is a big middleweight(6'4? height), and i'd give him a lot of credit if he beats pavlik

    LMAO...You are 100% on....

BTW....Joe C is not hyped job, IMHO I just think he is trying to get pay because he knows he is at the end of his career you know. **** RJJ is a good payday for anyone and a easy one for him.
