You don't think your assestment of Manny's recent accomplishments are any different than "HATE".....which is what you claim is thrown at Floyd for his win against Shane? DLH was wegiht drained in your opinion...Hatton was without a trainer although Floyd Sr was in charge...Cotto and Hatton...ect.... That is NOT hate in your opinion but if someone says Shane was old or shot it is Hate? Double standard, no?
Has Pacquiao ever fought a 38 year old? Pacquiao fought Hatton and Marquez at their best weights - Floyd made them come up to 147 and 144 respectively, then didn't even make weight for the latter. Cotto beat Mosley 3 fights ago, and Clottey recently gave Cotto more trouble than Mosley did. Pacquiao did make Cotto come down to 145 for which he can be criticized but otherwise you can't discredit those two opponents and in the same breath say that Floyd's have been equal or better.
Sigh...perhaps that was due to the demolition Cotto experienced in the recent past against Margarito, in contrast to the undefeated more confident and intense version of Cotto Shane Mosley faced. Pacquiao faced a Hatton who got knocked out by Floyd, and nearly got knocked out by Juan Lazcano immediately after. He was a man trying to reinvent himself as a boxer after a career of being a brawler/wrestler. Both Pacquiao's wins against Marquez are highly debated. Bad examples altogether.
If Pac stop taking Roids ...he'll probably fight at 130 again HGH that what it does ,it makes you gain muscle strenght and gain weight throughtout your training so you can train more and longer....if he stops taking Roids he will fight at 130 again....you heard it first.
has Pacman cherry picked his way, no he hasnt, he is fighting at a higher weight the majority of the time, i thought the Diaz fight was a cherry pick but he was moving up in weight, cant really be cherry picking opponents when moving up weight class. n cotto n clottey how can those to be called cherry picking when look at the current crop of welter's they were both top 5
Good post, its not so much the opponents as it is the weights that you have been fighting at. I mean seriously makin a lightweight come up to welter and then not making weight yourself. Fighting a junior welter at welter. Now that we know pac can handle guys at 147 there will be no need for a catchweight anymore, that was just a feeling out because he was in there with a strong welterweight
In Clottey's case, he was just glad to be there because papa Arum knew he would not try to upset the apple cart. :yep Cotto "lost" to a Margarita with bricks in his gloves, but that fight took a LOT out of him. Clottey also beat Cotto. Pac's people flat out refused a fight with Mosley at 147. Roach wouldn't let him near Manny. Mosley was coming off the destruction of another man people said Floyd was "ducking" in Margarito. Floyd beat him handily. A Floyd fanboy can diss Pac on Mosley almost the same way a Pac fanboy can diss Floyd for retiring after the Hatton fight (when Cotto was the only one out there). The resume argument holds no weight in Pac's favor. Two of his better wins were on Floyd's resume first (Hatton and DLH). He decisively beat Marquez two fights after a layoff, when Pac couldn't in two tries. They are both great fighters that need to fight each other to settle this. Whoever wins, I hope there are no bull**** excuses.
yea i mean picking JMM for a fight and making him come up two weights was certainly cherry picking but pac since moralles 2 fight has been so driven about who he fights, there always seems to be a reason for that opponent which to test himself
Tell me what in that list isn't factual? DLH had an IV mark! Any boxing fan knows about the turmoil in that camp and how Ricky's second kept giving conflicting advice. Cotto wasn't DESTROYED by Margarito? Cotto wasn't practically running from Clottey? Tell me about SSM's accomplishments running up to this fight. Tell me. He was holding the title he just won in SPECTACULAR fashion. He was challenging for ANOTHER WW title. He got the fight he asked for! Charlie you don't have a grasp on reality.:bart
Well since you are obviously new to boxing... That is what we call a "tune-up". It was made even more dramatic being that JMM was #2 on the P4P list at the time and a common opponent with the #1 guy Manny Pacquiao who had been looking good against FMJ's former opponents. Tune-ups are usually used after a fighter comes off of an extended lay off where he has not entered any training camps. That help you?
Because floyds Cocky and Undefeated..and haters are just JEALOUS.. and thats why manny doesnt get the same flak...cause he's NOT those two things
