First and foremost I will state I am pretty far off being a Degale fan, but then I was rooting for my fellow ginger in George Groves. I see shades of latter-career-Naz-attitude in Degale without having won the world titles to back it up. He got it wrong tonight and expected his opponent to turn up with no improvements or change in game plan, and that is incredible naive. What steps would you want to see him make to regroup and show his true class?

  2. The fight was more of a draw IMO.

The result is just for punters who’ll likely bet on Groves again.

Sorry Bam Bam, Im a bit sloppy and drunk and had no intention of coming across as smug as I was expecting Degale to win. What I saw tonight was Degale coming in with a gameplan that was based on his opponent doing no work whatsoever on his weaknesses, which is incredibly short sighted. I don't dispute that it was close, but what I saw was Degale without a properly drilled plan B and at a high level that is criminal.

I said early on in the fight to my Dad, it reminds me of Naz-Barrera. DeGale just was not as well drilled as Groves.
