You could honestly take any two guys out of the top 10 of the SMW class, put them together and wind up with a great fight.

Ward assuming that the Miranda fight was the rule and not the exception should be able to eek out a decision over Froch.

I think a guy who applies nonstop pressure might give Ward trouble. But Froch doesn't really pressure you too aggressively. He comes in your face, but he gets into that awkward stance and almost waits for you to make a move before he punches.

Froch has looked absolutely amateurish at times, against both Taylor and Pascal. Ward's excellent elusiveness and defense would make Froch swing and miss BADLY. I don't expect Ward to pull a Jermain Taylor in the 12th round... I think Ward could definitely outpoint Froch..

Not in Nottingham where he won't be allowed to hold so much. He has to 'take' the belt and I don't see Ward doing that against Froch. Taylor had enough power to keep Froch at bay till he tired. Ward? Amateur point scorer until I see different from him. I had a bad feed, but for as cleanly as he appeared to hit Miranda, he wasn't hurting him.

Anyone but Kessler that chump dont seem like he REALLY wants to fight anyone. He can blame everyone he wants but the fight with Miranda was on the table and he walked away. I think that all the other guys seem willing to fight eachother.

Ward's lateral movement was very good but I just wasn't impressed because he wasn't putting a beatdown on Miranda, he was just peppering him with a shot here and there and then clinching. Froch would eventually cut that ring off and throw some hard hands in there. Froch is slower but I think that fight would boil down to who is ahead after the 8th round. This fight would go the distance. Probably a split decision, even in Nottingham.

Froch would rally for 12 and push the pace much more than Miranda did. Ward would be using his legs alot more to stay away

The power deficit was alarming. Miranda walked straight through clean counters.

He wasn't holding to hold. He was muscling Miranda around to prove a point. Miranda had made a big deal about him being weak so Ward muscled him around and completely plowed through him.

I read a lot of these kinda comments. Power to keep him at bay. Obviously power didn't help Taylor out much did he? He had Froch hurt once throughout the entire fight but did enough to potentially win a decision by moving well, keeping himself out of the Froch range (when he fought smart) and doing enough during exchanges to look one sided.

He certainly doesn't have the power of an Abraham or a Pavlik but that's poking holes in an otherwise perfect performance.

I hope its Froch's next fight and will catapault ward into unification with a Bute (Kessler is a no show in the division).

Froch showed a lot of balls fighting Taylor in the states. I hope he keeps it up and faces ward next. ward's camp surely wants the fight. Ward will comfortably beat Froch over 12 wounds much like tonights fight. 1-3 rounds for Froch and a 118-112 style card.

What does Showtime want? Froch-Ward in the next months? Or Froch-Bute for unification and then Ward gets a shot?
