    I'm facing a Counter Puncher with knockout power in a rematch in July Im a pure boxer what are some things i can do to beat a counter puncher with knockout power?

    Knowledgeable EastsideBoxing Members with fights please give me advice thank you

    Keep him at the end of your jab and always stay light on your feet. The minute he tries to counter, move around and reset.

    Also, setting up your punches and fainting a lot works marvolously against counter punchers.

    Look at FMJ vs JMM for some inspiration.

    Try not to throw single shots, they are alot easier to counter

    In a nutshell, I definitely agree this is something you should be concentrating on using.

    Try a jab, jab then feint a left hook, to which they go to throw a counter right in anticipation. As they do so, you step inside and throw the left hook to body. I've used this quite a few times with success.

    Be careful not to overuse feints though as a decent boxer will analyse your movements and make adjustments which could land you in trouble if they call your bluff :D.
