He would've been another overrated American spoiled at the hands of the Welshman. He needs alot of work to say he is rated top 10 in SW division, but then again the division isn't that deep.
Super Middleweight isn't a deep division? Maybe compared to Welter it's not, but compared to most divisions it is.
No. I came up with that opinion because Green hasn't improved at all, he is overhyped, and has that stupid look down habit that would get him buzzed by someone with a punch output like Joe C. He fought a deer stuck in the mud tonight in Rubin Williams and he was supposed to dominate.
I'll consider it deep when Jermaine Taylor, Kelly Pavlik, and Roy Jones come into it... well maybe not Roy, but the 1st two. When I say deep I mean with potential championship talent. No way it gets deeper than the WW division is now.
Thank God. At least he's got a chance at winning that one and looking good. Go USA let's take the upper weight divisions back cuz we've got no chance to reclaim the lower divisions from the Hispanic fighters.... not now, not ever.
He did dominate. I am not saying that Green is a shoe in winner against Joe C. but to say that tonight's fight was not a "total Green dominated fight" against an able, good quality fighter, is just nuts. I would never bet against Joe C. but Allan would be much more than an opponent in the fight. He would do much better than Jeff Lacey. Before this fight half this forum was saying that Rubin Williams was a real test for Green. Green has had this habit ever since his first fight and he has never had anyone skilled enough to catch him for it. Someday he may.
Miranda caught him and so did .... dang I just forgot his name, but anyway; they weren't even elite comp. Green is overrated and shouldn't step up to the elite comp just yet. Still has alot of improving to do if he wants any sort of longevity at the elite level. Should keep headlining FNF though, it's very good marketing for his future: it did wonders for Jermain Taylor and Zab Judah and I'm sure it will for the Petersons.
McCrary However, Green is ready as he ever will be. Tonight was a good showing for him. He put rounds in with a good fighter and he showed he has good stamina after major surgery. Miranda fought an ill version of Green and yes he caught him but he did not KO him. Neither did McCary.
Thanks. But I hope he can be more ready because while he may win a title he won't have real longevity at that level.
Never liked Allan "I robbed Emmet Linton at Gunpoint" Green. Feed this ******* to Taylor, and be done with him! Be a great come back fight for JT after he recovers from the ass whippin' he signed up for in February. Boo
