now that we are getting this tournament for free im pumped. imagine what this could do to his legacy if he wins. if it plays out how i see it. fedor will beat bigfoot, the only ever elitexc HW champion who is 8-1 in his last 9 fights with his loss coming at the hands of werdum.
then in his next fight he will most likely meet overeem, the current SF, dream and k1 champion who has looked unstoppable of late and will be coming of a win over the only man to beat fedor.
in the final we will get to see the fight we have been waiting for. the former 'ufc champion' barnett hasn't lost since he was ranked #2 at HW and has only fallen in ranking due to inactivity. fedor will win and then claim retirement. only to come back for one final fight against the only man to beat him, werdum. when fedor retires not only will he be the best p4p fighter and GOAT but it will be near impossible for anyone to ever overtake him. :deal

I really do want to see him fight Cain, Carwin and Dos Santos though.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to make do with potential matches against Reem, Werdum and Barnett and co on the other side of the bracket. Not too shabby really is it

Yeah it is shabby because those aren't the top heavyweights in the world.

Not at all. The Overeem one will be spectacular if it comes off. The rest, neh.

I still find it sickening Overeem is placed at #8 on Sherdog. I know he's not hugely active, but come on...

Who gives a sheeeeet where Sherdog ranks him. You're a grown up, make up your own mind

  10. True fans know that the guy is a top 3, hes shown enough skills standing and on the ground, shown enough fight experience and won enough belts to deserve a top 3 spot.

I have, I just find it strange that such a popular website could get it so wrong.

More and more im thinking otherwise. If he had joined the UFC....

. He wouldnt have lost to Werdum
. He would have been the first to expose Brock, and the impression he would have left on casual fans would have been massive
. He wouldnt have to face Overeem
. He would be far more active than he has been

i agree but i would rather fedor / overeem and fedor / barnett than any of those match ups. plus its free

    - the loss makes this tournament all the more exciting and meaningful
    - had fedor been champion brock would have been an exposed WWE bum, nothing more
    - dream match, which i see fedor winning
    - true, now if only dana white could offer him a decent deal
