Leaving aside who has fought who in recent years, if I had to rank who I think is the best MMA Heavyweight, my order would be:

    1.Velasquez
    2.Overeem
    3.Fedor

I think everybody can agree those are good opponents; which is why Roger's does not have the quality of wins that Cain or Carwin has.

Roger's knocked out Arlovksi, a big win, and has been destroyed every time he has fought somebody of that caliber again.

I really do not understand this urge to push Rogers as an elite or even very good HW; he is a big puncher who is very, very limited and will never be a champion in a big organization.

Frank Mir coming off a good performance against Kongo was at least as good of a win as AA coming off a devestating KO to Fedor, in reality it was better.

In terms of a second best win, Rogers has nobody approaching Gonzaga at the time of that fight, hell not even the current version of Gonazaga.

He didn't last into the second round because he just beat on an enormous man for the first round.

This is all just down to you automatically thinking UFC=bad, not UFC=Great. You have no real logical thought process.

Lets be realistic Cain and espeically Carwin don't have that many big wins, the latter has two fights that werent can crushing exersizes. Theres also good reason to believe that Rogers has lost to the two best HW's in the sport right now.

I think its clear that Rogers isnt the best HW in the sport by now but equally I think its clear that Lesnar, Carwin and Mir arent either. Brett does not have elite skills in any one area but he does look to have a pretty well rounded effective game plus a good chin and some heart.

  5. Thats the thing, Carwin didnt have the stamina, didnt have the experience, didnt have the accuracy, didnt choose his punches and didnt know how to handle a subpar fighter like Brock.

Look at how Fedor and Overeem GnP's as compared to the ape-****-crazed GnP that Carwin did. Youll notice that both fedor and overeem doesnt just punches the arms over and over, they punch the head then the body then the head (basically where ever there is an opening). This is an example of why I think Overeem and fedor is far better than the UFC fighters.
