IMO the whole 70s crew dodged a speeding bullet by missing a young Mike Tyson. Shavers joy certainly isn't misplaced

Mike would have beaten them all, including Ali and Frazier.

What does it matter to shavers whether Quarry or Tyson is KOing him in the first round. Lyle the 6th. Holmes. KOd is KOd. It's like saying after someone shots you dead, boy I am glad she didn't have a knife! RON STANDER?

These old guys say something different every week.
I've seen Shavers say the opposite, ie. "Tyson wouldn't have survived in my era", or something like that.
Same as Holmes. They can't even remember what they've said/

Tyson in his prime, lost to a bum who himself was already up their in years, and had the flu. Yet he's beating the GOAT and two other ATGS? #OnlyinTysonLand

Earnie had a stylistic advantage over Tyson, and the hardest hitter of all time will have a chance against anyone, Tyson was overall a far superior fighter to shavers and if quarry could k.o. shavers in one round Tyson could do it in style. Early Tyson had a great chin before drugs and alcoholism made his body less durable so I believe Tyson could probably take a few good shavers hits but earlier was a glass cannon and Tyson would k.o. him in one hit anywhere on the head

Prime george foreman is one of the very few men in history that could have stopped prime tyson. Frazier would fall within 2 rounds at best by Tysons infamous arching uppercuts, Ali would probably last until the 10th where he'd suffer the first legitimate k.o. of his career by left hook or overhand

what bum did he lose to? I think a few guys from the seventies could beat Tyson. Quarry, Lyle, Young, Shavers, Bugner, Holmes, Frazier. Not that I think they all would definatly beat him, but don't try to tell me he would go through that group unbeaten. Oh, and Foreman would have made him his *****

Foreman ADMITTED to ducking Shavers out off fear? The 70's Foreman was a bully and needed a mental edge. What do you think a Tyson WITH Cus Damato would do to to Foreman mentally who was even nervous for a out of prime Frazier?

    Lol at this reply above....

Shavers fought ONE true power puncher and that was Ron Lyle, who knocked him out .

Shavers didn't even fight anyone of note until his 45th fight, even got knocked out by Quarry in one round.

This is the guy to defeat Tyson right?

Foreman said that he had fear of anyone... Frazier, norton etc... But at the end of the day he killed all them it is the only important thing. Foreman kills tyson and damato was one of the guys who said that foreman would be a nightmare for the style of his boy.period
