Ruiz was still the boss throughout much of the fight. If he dared get in slightly better shape and got a bit more lateral in his attack routes, he would repeat the first result.

Two things to note... Ruiz has a world class beard. For his morbid obesity, his gas tank wasn't half bad. He has a lot of natural talent. Hopefully, we will see it to its full potential someday.

Disagree there is no where for Ruiz to go.

PBC could put against Ortiz or Kownacki as a good cheif support fight for Wilder and Fury.

Matchroom could make him an offer to fight Whyte or Hunter.

All good fights and if Ruiz wins he's back in the mix again.

Nobody rated Ruiz as some elite fighter. He just got paid to get fat and do 12 rounds. Jokes on all us who watched.

Can see now he weighed in with the sombrero and gear on to create an excuse for his horrible condition that cost him any chance tonight. Ruiz is a conman.

Looks like you didn't read the post.

    Or didn't understand it.

Does anyone need Whyte, or Usyk or Hunter ?

Does that mean those three (all older than Ruiz) have "nowhere to go?"

I'm glad he lost too. Can't wait to see Wilder blast Joshua to smithereens

He was such a con man that AJ (21 KOs in 22 wins) wanted no part of trading with him and was taken the distance.

I know his fans will try and paint him in the best possible light because he lasted 12. Fact is, Ruiz is a total disgrace and a conman.

He just gave exactly the sort of performance someone who wastes all their talent gives.

He has ability, but I'm not counting on him ever showing it again.

Whyte had a less than spectacular outing against Wach.

If Andy can't get an immediate rubber match against AJ (unlikely) or the winner of Fury-Wilder (if that even happens, then a Ruiz/Whyte bout might tell us which of the two belong in the top four.

In addition to lasting 12, he also blasted his man out mid-fight last time.

As I said in another thread, he might be another Buster. But it's a bit early to write him off.

A lot of posters were writing off AJ after June last.

    Unfortunately, you are likely correct.

Oh, and Joshua is not a born in the wool fighter.

He won't be able to do it for long against Wilder, I promise you that.

That was no luck it was the perfect style . AJ adjusted.

Luck is when u can't beat him again with the same style.

Had AJ fought Ruiz. Toe to toe he would of gotten starched. Ruiz. Starches AJ in a toe to toe battle ..that isn't luck. AJ adjusted . and beat him.

Wilder has a get out of jail card in his right hand whatever Joshua does.
