I'm glad Ward chose not to get exploited by Froch and Eddie Hearn

Because including license fees, gate, etc, the Oakland fight is worth maybe 4 million USD tops.

A UK fight including same is worth north of 20 million USD, possibly far north.

Refs/judges can be imported just like the Froch-Groves 2 fight and shouldnt be an issue. As long as the officiating situation can be worked out, common sense says the fight should be held where it makes the most money for both fighters. In this case, that is indisputably Froch's home turf.

People in the UK, will pay to see Froch fight a credible opponent. Which Ward obviously is. Ward just doesnt have that kind of fan base. Froch can make good money fighting lots of people though, he doesnt need Ward at all.

Boxing has systems in place when 2 fighters can't come to terms and purse bids are a part of it. Win the purse bid decide the venue it's simple. If Ward won the purse bid and decided Oakland and Froch pulled out that's on him but if Froch won the purse bid and decided Nottingham it would be on Ward if he pulled out. The fight isn't happenening anyway they couldn't come to an agreement and WBA didn't let it go to purse bids.

Yes it does. I guess it would look bad if Froch won the purse bid and chose Nottingham as a venue and Ward said no even though Ward could just as likely win and choose Oakland. Purse bids are in place when 2 fighters can't agree there is a whole system in place for 2 fighters that can't negotiate for themselves.

Froch can fight who ever he wants to. History will call him a chump for not rematching Ward. If
Floyd did this, people would be all over him. Floyd gave Castillo and Maidana rematches because he cared about what the fans thought. He left no stne unturned and no doubt in people's minds.

Froch and his fans care more about Froch's money and who he can figtht rather than being great. So be it. Froch is penalized in history.

There are some things you have to choose over money. Revenge is one of them.

See you at the round table Froch. Ward will be there. You like to talk too Carl, but don't open your mouth when Ward is talking! Lol...

Yes the whole things is odd. Why didn't it go to purse bids as they said it would if they could not come to terms? Why was Froch stripped, shouldn't the champion be stripped for not facing their mandatory not the glorified number 1 contender or at least delay the mandatory as Povetkin was allowed to do when he didn't want to face Wlad.

Something has clearly gone on with the WBA in the background to prevent a purse bid from taking place. Would like to know what Hearn, Ward and Froch have to say about this strange turn of events.

That round table with Jones, Calzaghe, Eubank, Collins...classic. They all got it off of their chests and had dinner together. Classic.

No it won't just you. Frochs legacy is a limited fighter who fought the best of his era while not being the best of his era. Most fans see the rematch as a foregone conclusion of Froch losing again.

It's funny how you think your the one calling the shots on Frochs standing in history.

You're not looking at the big picture. You truly aren't. And I don't expect you to.

rubbish, as ever. history will see extended periods of inactivity preventing the rematch, ward refusing yet another fantastic opportunity where he's the overwhelming favourite, and likely the wba protecting him from a failed purse bid.

floyd? give over. i don't recall froch ever dictating his opponent's gloves (i could go on).

Says the guy whose not listening to the majority of people posting on this forum.

6 people on the last page alone telling you what's up and YOU don't listen. It's called being delusional. That isn't including myself.
