I'm going to go ahead and call Klitschko the heavyweight champion.

WBO, WBU and IBO. You know what the organisations are.

People just seem to recognise every title one of their favourite fighters wins. Soon we'll have some one saying if you win 4 out of 7 belts you're the champion. It's getting silly.

    Most would disagree with this.

Exactly. What I had in mind was WBC/WBA/IBF

Most consider the WBO in this group.

As I say, another will soon arrive.

It would be nice to have Wladimir fight the WBC & WBA beltholders. However both are making it virtually impossible.

I think that if I was willing to pay the licensing fee, I could be the WBU and IBO titleholder by tomorrow morning. I'm not sure when the WBO became accepted as a legit orgainization, either. Perhaps everyone here is just too young to remember when the WBO was a joke, however.

    Sarcasm appreciated, by the way.

In the long term it will be good for boxing to have a person who looks the part.

The way he fights is not as relevant as you may believe.

People will believe in Klitschko - I believe this.

Wlad is the Champ. He was the #1 since 2006 and this only consolidated him and created real/concrete evidence that he's the Champion (another belt, the first unified champ since 1999).

This is no different than Marvin Hart vs. Jack Root in 1905, Ezzard Charles vs. Jersey Joe Walcott in 1949 or Floyd Patterson vs. Archie Moore in 1956. If those fights decided who was gonna be the new Champ, I don't see the problem with Klitschko-Ibragimov, who were two legit beltholders.

We have also to consider the current context: the WBC is a mess that won't be fixed until 2009 (and Wlad has already beat Sam Peter) and the WBA beltholder wants to fight Luan Krasniqi.

    We have a strong agreement.

    I am now satisfied.

Don't get me wrong guys. I'd love it if we had an undisputed champ and if that means Wlad then fine. I just want it to be done the right way. Like Lennox and Tyson did it (WBA/WBC/IBF). I don't think it's fair to say Wlad has 2/4 or 3/5 belts and therefore he's the champ because I know if Maskaev won the IBO and WBO versions to go with his WBC no one would call him a champ.

Mike Tyson was the Champ since 1988, when he beat Michael Spinks.

Lennox Lewis was the Champ since 1998, when he beat Shannon Briggs.

But right now there isn't a Lineal Champ.

Of course, there will never be a complete agreement on who's the Champion.

People that say "there is no Champ" or "fighter B is the real Champ" will always exist.

An example is the Welterweight division. Some people say that Floyd Mayweather isn't the real Champion there.

There will always be some people who cause trouble.

And I think that my method minimises the trouble.
