You don't sound so smart when you post this the very day or day after that Cotto gets KO'd.

Why didn't you post this before the fight?

Man...I hate how when a fighter lose and people just start to just kick dirt on them. Cotto is an excellent fighter...some may over rate him, and some may underrate him, still he's good to me. He just didn't have a good game plan. Kinda like SRL and Duran 1...he shouldn't have mixed it up as much as he did, and he should have went to the body much more than he did. I think he can still improve as a fighter.

The fight reminded me of the Hatton/Collazo bout. The guy was just too big,be intersting to find out the actual weights when they stepped into the ring. The natural styles of Hatton and Cotto just dont work very well against bigger guys.I think we might now see hatton vs. Cotto at 140 next year

No way Cotto boils back down to 140. It was hurting him bad back then, let alone what it would do to him now.

How would you guys have seen it against Hatton at LWW when they were both there a few years back now?

What a steaming pile of bull****.

Cotto does well in defeat against a monster like Margo, and people start saying he was overrated.

Nobody ever said Cotto was an ATG. In fact everyone except his most rabid fans always did say he was/is a great exciting fighter, but flawed. Nothing has changed.

I think that Cotto would have ko'd Hatton in a pretty nice slugfest...while hatton is a decent pressure fighter, Cotto was overwhelmed by Tony because of his size
and his ability to take clean punches with no harm done. Those are two attributes that Hatton wouldnt have.

Would have been very interesting, given Hatton's relentless style. Last nights fight has definitely given me a new take on the matter. I would add, however, I don't think Hatton's chin is as good Margo's.

    I wouldn't say Cotto is/was overrated.

Margarito was just a very bad style-match for him.

Time will decide this one; Cotto can still come back.

    You're a ****ing idiot, Isal.

Cotto showed fantastic skills and versatility in this fight (and in many others). Margarito was just very special this night: He doesn't get discouraged and takes you into deeeep waters. Too deep for Cotto in this fight.

However at 140 i dont think Cotto hits as hard as Tszyu and Hattons chin always looked pretty good at 140. Would make an interesting scrap for sure.

I dont see where he can go now at 147,Hatton at 140 would still be a huge fight.Watching Margo walk straight through his best punches last night is gonna have an effect on him.Now we know why Mayweather didn't fancy the Margo fight, the guy is too big and too strong.

so margo's win doesn't mean much right? after all, he's only beaten a couple of shopworn names and a load of b level fighters.

remember, the process is engage brain, then post.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a huge fight I just don't think it's possible for Cotto to boil back down to 140 & stay healthy.
