He is being matched beyond his means. He cannot compete with the A/B+ level fighters. The beating he received last night was god damn brutal. I don't know why he is being overmatched so badly by his promotional company. He is a warrior but needs to be saved from himself.

He will always get big fights because he puts arses on seats. I could see him beating Rios.

His relentlessness and power always gives him a punchers chance, but yeah, you match Katsidis up with too many of these skilled fighters and he may end up like Meldrick Taylor.

.........I hope this is it for Katsidis' title shot opportunities. Everytime he gets one he just takes a beating.

Win or loose he is just so god dam exciting!

    Thats the problem.

Also His ethics are great and its hard not to like the guy.

But i agree that every boxer should stick to their level once they know what their level is.

I made a thread on this, no one seems to give a ****, but I feel so bad for this kid being thrown in over his head every time. It sickens me the managers and corners just send him out there he is not elite level he is b and c matched right on undercards he can make a living and not end up a vegetable.

I thought no one else noticed it this kid needs to be saved from himself FFS,

Well when theres idiots on here who think he can beat Maidana, and Rios, it tells you that some ppl still havent realized what level Kat is on.

Actually Maidana and Rios are exactly the styles that Katsidis would actually have a chance to win against.
Crude come foward pressure fighters that would mesh perfectly with Katsidis same type style.

.....but instead Katsidis in his last two fights gets matched with accurate skill fighters, Marquez and Guerrero.

Katsidis should come to the UK and fight John Murry would be a good scrap and Kats can win this and get his ratings up after last nights loss.

I've been saying this ever since he got KO'ed by Casa. No defense, no wins against above average or higher fighters.:deal

Yea totally agree. It was hard watching him getting beat up like that especially towards the end. He looked so sad that he just didn't have enough, but would never imagine quitting.

he needs a softer fight next, two big losses wont do him any good,he needs to regain confidence and go and improve his skills, his footwork, speed and combinations need to improve.

divac is spot on. Put him in with a slugger and itll be a great fight. I see katsidis/maidana with lots of KDs and excitement. I know this is aside the point but i see maidana as a marquez style fighter goes down fairly easy but recovers quickly and just jumps back up.
Im a massive katsidis fan but you have to worry how many more of these fights he can get into. I had to stop watching after that ref took those points away it was hard to watch. He shouldnt get a title shot unless somehow murray gets a title.

I agree with both yourself and Divac that a Rios would be a better style match up for him but really i think he should stay away from the top tier fighters altogether for a while.

If he builds up his confidence enough and wins a few good fights then he can be given a chance against a style that suits him

He's a lot of fun to watch because of his style and mentality so he's always going to be around as long as he's active. I'd rather see him more at the BAD level though fighting guys for thrilling fights rather than trying to compete for titles.
