There was nothing entertaining about the one sided beatdown Katsidis took last night. **** should have been embarrassing to Katsidis, his camp, and all his supporters. He was beat to hell last night and was never in it, EVER. He does not have the capability to fight elite fighters and is only taking beatings that will have him eating out of a straw and talking to himself later in life after he retires.

I completely agree... I hope he retires. Way too awesome of a human being to let boxing ruin him. Those beatings will take a toll.

Agree almost completely i think he showed flashes of being in it but not consistently for a round let alone any amount of time. Like i said earlier i had to stop watching cos it wasnt enjoyable it was sickening.
His cornermen shouldve got him out of there, katsidis is the type of guy you have to protect from themselves clearly

That was a tough fight to watch last night.

Katsidis should take a break and reassess his boxing stock. Or learn more of a technique not fighting with his face all the time.

Katsidis has been in too many wars, and war is the only way he knows how to fight. He should call it a day. Btw, I picked Katisidis by stoppage. The fact that he got beat up by Guerrero, who is not elite, not a JMM, shows that Katsidis has lost a couple of steps. He's going to end up getting permanent damage if he continues fighting.

Guerrero showed that he is elite last night, be beat Katsidis in a more dominant fashion that JMM and Casamayor combined. He is the real deal.

I just don't buy into Guerrero yet as a top fighter, especially after pussying his way out of the Yordan fight. But he's free to prove me wrong. Beating Katsidis is a step in the right direction.

Maidana and Rios are stronger than Kat, and have bigger firepower. And in the case of Rios, Bam Bam has more skills than Kat as well.

Guerrero and Marquez are two completely different fighters........Guerrero using his height and reach fights from distance, Kats did a poor job of cutting the ring off on Guerrero.....

Marquez is a pocket counterpuncher, he's right there for a fighter like Kats to come right at him.
    Marquez sidesteps and counters hard.
Marquez has thunder in those counters, which is the reason he was repeatedly stunning Kats and having him on unsteady legs.

For as clean as Guerrero landed on Kats last night, not once did he get Kats in a position where he could stop him. I dont remember once Kats legs doing a number on him from a Guerrero punch.

The one thing about pocket counterpunchers, they make fighters like Kats think they're in the fight because the pocket counterpuncher is always within punching range.

I think the illusion is that Kats was more in his fight with Marquez because he scored a knockdown......but the fact is he lost just about every round but that round he scored a knockdown against Marquez.

.....and lets not forget that Marquez' shots took more of a toll on Kats than did Guerrero's
Marquez knocked Kats out in the 9th......

Guerrero for all his connect was never close to stopping Katsidis.

My point is that one performance was'nt any better than the other.
Personally I was more impressed with the pocket counterpuncher standing his ground and making Kats pay most everytime he rushed in.

.....and btw, Guerrero may one day be an elite, but just off the Katsidis fight I dont think he's proven he's arrived at that scene.
I'd have to see Guerrero against a better fighter than Katsidis to make a determination if he belongs in the mention with today's best fighters.

They all have differnt type of strenghths and weaknesses.

Katsidis is the poorest of the three in cutting the ring off......
    Maidana punches are two wide......

Rios is inbetween, he's not as good as Maidana in cutting the ring, and he's wider with his punches than Kats is.

Kats I feel in a war on the inside, his punches are more compact, that I feel he'd get better leverage on the other two in a chest to chest battle.

Rios likely has more raw punching power, but I believe his defensive awareness is the weakest of the three that he may very well lose to the other two.

    No, its simpler than that.

Rios and Maidana are top fighters. Kat isnt.

Its gonna take an elite fighter to beat Rios, and the only two fighters to have beaten Maidana did so by boxing, and BOTH were taken to the brink of hell by Chino.

Kat on the other hand, was knocked senseless by a shot Casamayor, made pillow fisted Juan Diaz look like a great boxer, other than the KD was beaten senseless by Marquez, and last night took a one sided ass whuppin from Guerrero.

Dont you get it? Its not a matter of STYLES. Kat simply isnt that good. Get over it.

BTW - saying Rios is wider with his shots than Kat is comical. Have you even seen Rios fight? He punches very short, and compact.
