It could be true but not likely. Anything can happen in a ring when the punches start flying. I just think Spence isn't going to have as easy a time as people seem to think. Mikey is going to put on a good showing win or lose.

Brook had some success with right hands and moved in and out like Mikey does, and he is fast and so is Mikey, who I think has nice punches also. I think Mikey could trouble Spence more than people think. Spence might be too strong, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mikey does better either.

people are going to be surprised at mikeys increase in power and will probably attribute it to peds, if history is any indication. but this is the real reason mikey will be hitting harder than ever.

It doesn’t matter if he’s hitting harder than he will be hitting some who’s larger than he’s ever hit.

Guy can do all the peds and circuit training he wants it won’t help him fighting at 147.

All these videos of him training it’s just to sucker people into thinking it’s going to be a close fight and worth buying.

 

That was the fight I thought Spence looked meh! against someone his level. He looks good against over matched guys.

Mikey is up there and will probably make Spence look crapo and expose this guy. I have Mikey by schooling and probably hurting Spence but not stopping him.

heres what ive been saying about these 2 guys for the last couple of years. those reading can think about what they were saying about these guys at the same time i said this, and what they are saying now.

as you can see, ive been pretty consistent in what i see, and what i see now is a mikey who can actually win. all this time ive been saying nobody beats spence at 147, but 2 new developments have changed my mind. mikey new training regimen will increase his power so i can see him actually hurting spence, and ive lost all confidence in spences trainer after seeing how unprepared the charlos are when things dont go their way, i see spence having the same problem.
i trust my analysis enough to put it on an avatar bet, you game?

bet. no, i didnt say he would ko him, i think he has the power to hurt him, which will completely change spences gameplan, which i dont believe spence is schooled enough to do successfully against a guy with mikeys knowledge. mikey knows all the counter moves to any counter moves spence might employ, while i think spence is not knowledgeable enough to do anything else but play catch up to mikeys adjustments. i expect a classic fight with plenty of skill, heart, and drama, no matter how it turns out.

 

I respect your not just going for the easy pick, I rate Garcia highly myself as well his timing is brillant he’s very well rounded and his gauge of distance is second to none.

But at same time I think spence walks him down bully’s him and sap’s the energy and fight from mikey also mikey even though he has great timing and nice counters I don’t think mikey will be comfortable fighting off the backfoot for most of the fight.

Also FYI I’m not a massive spence fan boy I actually think Crawford would out box spence but I do like spence I was there live for the brook spence fight and when you see him live you realise how strong he is.

 

i never go for the easy pick, i go for the logical pick. spence and mikey are both in my top 4 favorite boxers right now, along with crawford and loma, but im not gonna bullchit myself, or anyone else, about who i think they are. if i thought spence was going to beat mikey, i would say so, and i actually have up until today.
i will admit that mikey could get koed in the first few rds and make me look like a fool, cause he is really untested at 147 and hes facing a real menace. but ive been into boxing a long time and ive picked up some knowledge along the way, so ive come to trust my judgement.

 

Mikey will never KO Spence. The best he can do is to go all 12 rounds against him. That will be an accomplishment in itself. Something that Mikey could be even proud about. Theoretically, he has (a ghost of) a chance to win by decision. But that (Garcia winning) would mean that Spence is hugely overhyped.
As it stands now, 1/4 is excellent odds to bet on Spence to win. A bet on Spence to win by stoppage does look risky, because Mikey is a very good boxer.
