I'm hearing malignaggi and keith thurman got into a brawl at the presser

At MOST,they can say that Matthyse scraped a decision against an old Judah.
I think Zab won legitimately.

Zab while highly talented,tended to get beaten by the top guys, and Matthyse,who,supposedly is this unstoppable wrecking machine couldnt put him away. or beat him comprehensively on points.

 

Thurman would kill this faded version of PM. PM years ago...may box that ass off. But we are in the present.

Most unbiased people say they were close fights either way Zab made it close.

 

Calling out fighters when you haven't done **** yourself is even funnier.

 

Paulie got the best of that verbal altercation but the fight might see a different winner. Thurman said he would beat Cotto but I highly doubt that. Interesting fight if it comes off.

 

5 years ago, Paulie would've boxed circles around Thurman. Now? Not so much.

Still wanna see this fight over the Broner debacle.

 

Malignaggi might look like he won the verbal war but he was actually full of ****.

"I don't fight for co-main event money" Really? Your last fight was co-main event. In fact, 4 of your last 5 fights were on undercards.

Thurman fights bums? His last opponent is a former world champ, your last opponent never held a title and got stopped by a washed up Morales.

Paulie is simply a fast talker but he had nothing intelligent to say.

Matthysse fought way too timidly. Neither guy did much of anything in terms of hard punches landing, or punches landing at all in the first half of the fight. Matthysse has no complaint. It's possible for Judah to get all of those early rounds. When neither guy does a thing, you leave it open to chance with judges. Later, Matthysse clearly won some rounds, only problem for him was that, he ain't do **** in the first half of the fight, and left judges to use their opinion, on rounds where neither guy landed anything. He then comes back and does the same thing against Alexander. Now Alexander landed more flush shots than Judah did, and in my opinion earned some rounds, where as Judah just got rounds because neither man did a damn thing, and most judges won't score rounds a draw. I felt Matthysse could have gotten the nod in both fights, but saw enough either way rounds, to not have a big complaint. Again, it doesn't matter if you won a round big. I didn't see any rounds outside of the knockdown rounds, that Matthysse won 10-8. He can clearly win a round 10-9. It isn't worth anymore than the judges awarding a close round to the other guy 10-9.
