I couldn't get in and make an official pick before hand, but it is pretty well known Cotto is one of my fave's. Got to give it up to Margarito for a job ****en well done! Fine fight and Margarito was fookin mad imressive. Wish the best for Cotto to come back strong from this ass whippin from the bad ass Margarito.

I still dont understand how that happened. I dont understand why Cotto did not throw a single body shot and was throwing all head shots against a brick head. I blaim his trainer for not telling him to go to the body from round 1. It was there, it was there. But props to margarito for being able to eat all those clean shots and still grind his way to a win.

 

Tony fought one hell of a pressure fight, unflappable, and does have one of the best chins certainly in the division, maybe in the whole weight range.

That said, he did lose seven rounds, and most of them quite clearly, so before he is elevated to "best welterweight in the world, hands down" status let's keep in mind that with a little more durability, Cotto would have had this locked down.

Great effort on both ends. Obviously I'm disappointed in Cotto's inability to hang under the pressure, as I dismissed Margo as much as anyone and now have to eat it. Don't want to see anything taken from him though, as he had boxed Tony's ears off for the first several rounds before Tony mauled his entire face off.

Cotto fired plenty of left hooks to the body in the early rounds...to no avail. AM doesn't seem to have any obvious Achilles' heel.
