Stamina stamina stamina. I do agree that Cotto would be in the fight early. He would not just get dominated. But two things Floyd will do to sap Cottos already low gas tank. He will make him use his legs more than he wants and he will make him swing and miss punches. Cotto's punches are too wide for Floyd. His jab is good enough to get there a few times but wont be consistent. LOL at clowns comparing how Pac got hit a lot. That mother****er usualy always gets tagged a lot by non shot fighters. Floyd would frustrate the hell out of Cotto and score on him a whole lot. Cotto has a lot of bad habits like leaving his hands out there after he lands a shot(amatuerish). He dont clinch...lol.. The fight would be good early but Floyd would kick his ass late and power shoot him(floyd sits on his shots when the other guy is tired or weakened). Floyd damn for sure can hurt Cotto with a counter punch.. Mother****ers trip me out on here..lol
Good but I think Cotto is better conditioned than people think(Just a litttle not by alot, lol). I just think his stamina will be almost on E in the later rounds and Floyd will know and make him miss alot and make him pay with straights while getting away to avoid body shots and jabs. Floyd just doesn't have the offensive arsenal he used to in his early years but his defense had improved so all is not bad.
Yeah and this showed in te Margarito fight. Mosley did what Cotto didn't and that's clinch and thus controlled the figt and confused Marg because no one looked to do this in his fights before.
And Pac's defense is comparable to Floyd's? I think not I guess it's his fault Arum said he was too green And come on be serious he doesn't have to pressure Cotto to beat him by a wide UD, he would just simply outbox him in the middle of the ring.
I agree with Chimba here and my gambling record is bloody good. I won on Hatton Pac calling inside 3 rounds, was 1 round off in DLH-Pac where I put down Pac KO 9-11 and it was officially ruled 8, won in Pac-Cotto and nearly won some big in round betting when I put down 7-11 and Pac just did it in the 12th. Cotto was a threat to FLoyd before and he's still a threat after. 2 guys that beat Cotto had something in common, punching power, pressure, output and relentlessness....all things Floyd lack. Styles makes fights. Cotto can get near anyone and people has been going on about a "bigger Castillo" for years, Hatton was the closest thing and he had quite some success. Cotto is much closer to that, more skilled, can corner anyone, has better chin than Hatton and more punching power, and bigger. Its like JMM, I think JMM at LW would give Pac a lot of trouble whereas even at LW, I think PBF has an easy time with him. Styles makes fights. In the case of Cotto, Pac is a much more dangerous fighter to him than PBF.
Cotto is still one of the best WW's around, no denying that the man is a warrior and will fight anyone so he's showed he has balls but Mayweather UD Cotto.
Cotto lacks defense to uppercuts. And Margo, one of the slowest men, was able to catch Cotto clean over and over. Mayweather would rip Cotto's mouth to shreds.
