I'm I the only one that thinks both GGG and Ward are overrated?

So why did Quillen turn down Korobov then. Or was it Haymon? Lara still doesn't have a signature win unless you consider Angulo one.

First off. Calm down, it ain't that serious. Second get your statements straight. His father said he was fighting scared as in timid in the 3rd round. Can't believe you're still stuck on that though. I am now forced to put you in the stuck on stupid category along with C.J... :patsch

Depends what you mean by overated... is either of them the unbeatable boxing god that that some make them out to be? Of course not, but both are head and shoulders above their peers (or at least Ward was at 168 - it remains to be seen if he's lost a step or is as competitive at 175).

The most hyped I've seen on these boards was Pirog.

Ward cleaned out a division 3 years ago and is living off that, but he proved himself.

Triple G has a good list of 5-10 ranked victories, but no defining win. If he's happy fighting willing opponents at 160 that's cool. If he wants global recognition he needs to beat a superstar and the only real superstar willing to fight him wants a catchweight. It's his life and his choices but surely a couple of pounds is worth it for the money and recognition? If someone offered me a few million I'd happily lose a pound in weight.

Both are overrated. I am a GGG fan but his level of opposition thus far hasn't been that great. HBO or whoever need to stump up a lot more cash to get him real tests against any top 3 SMW or Canelo. An Andy Lee fight would be a good win and also a Jacobs.

He is a force but not sure he belongs in the top 10 p4p although he does fight regularly and is making a good case.

Ward on the other hand is overrated for someone who has 2 fights in 3 years, Unwilling to fight outside his home state and fights people who are unable to make weight properly. His last 3 opponents have come in overweight or like stickmen (Chad Dawson). He also only faces plodders he can look good against. A drained and mentally fragile Chad Dawson fights like a plodder.
