that pbf would win more easily than before! i was amazed at how easily clottey hit pac, imagine what pbf will do with his accurate punches and most importantly movement any thoughts?

Could be. Tough to say cause Pac was leaving himself open on purpose to get Clottey to engage and the shots didn't even faze him. Also, you gotta worry what will happen if Floyd breaks his hand.

did you see the Cotto fight? Cotto hit Manny many more times and was more competitive than Clottey.

If you'd asked this question after the Cotto fight, it would have made more sense than asking it after a 12 round demolition.

No, you're not the only one and it appears those closer to boxing share the concensus.

I spent the day watching the fight with an ex world champ from a few years back, though he hadn't sparred Pac, he was around the same weight and still absolutely believes Mayweather is on a different level - regardless of size, ped's or otherwise.

Another factor is that fighting Clottey did absolutely nothing for preparing Pac for Floyd, whereas fighting Mosely will be a perfect prep for Mayweather.

if anything, I'd say Pac's chances have gone up. Floyd is a defensive fighter, like Clottey. PBF would also have to wait to counter. Floyd is twice the fighter Clottey is of course, but Pac is looking good.

the only way Manny could get Clottey to open up, even just a touch, was to take some shots. As i said, I think the Cotto fight is much more relevant to what will happen in a potential Mayweather fight.

pac was always going to do this to clottey a fighter that has no work rate, and no movement but a good defence..

I disagree. Cotto lost to Pac in a fight. Cotto won several rounds, and it was competitive. Even a couple of the later rounds when Cotto was on the back foot, he was landing solid shots.

In the end, Cotto was beaten, but at least he came to fight.

I thought the exact same thing i even posted a thread about it yesterday. I want PAC to WIN against floyd but after yesterday i dont see it happening at all anymore. Straight right is hte southpore killer, clottey has half the speed of mayweather and landed it still diffrence is mayweather follows up sometimes and as soon as he hits clinches goes back to defending sees the oppotunity when PAC comes in WIDE OPEN and hits him with the straight right and clinches again...watch Floyd Vs Judah even Hatton Vs Floyd you will see what i mean.

Yes you are alone in thinking that.

If you watch the fight very closely, especially in the moments where Pac is following the gameplan. When he follow that, it's so flawless and precise. His sharp routine able him to connect 5 punch combos (mostly to the body), then jab non-stop while having head movements. When Pac does that, Clottey stayed in this crab-like shell stance for so long while Pac is circling him with his angles and unorthodox routine combos. Pac never got hit. Joshua's boxing instinct unable to find the right timing to throw.

Pac got hit only when: He opens up to setup a trap for Clottey to exchange (but Joshua loosing those exchange) so that the fans and those who are watching can atleast see some action. That's the only point when Pac is getting hit. When he purposedly allows it by opening up. Plus he knows his lead is so paramount, he has a big buffer to be careless and taste how much gas / power is left on Clottey by feeling his punches.

    Many have noticed this.

But if he stays in the gameplan for the whole fight. Clottey will be lucky to land 20 punches the whole night. He'll end up staying in his shell for the full 36 minutes while Pac is doing a flawless boxing clinic.
