I'm i the only one who thinks Garcia will beat Matthysse?

I think he can by SD. To be honest you have to look at that left hook of Garcia's it can knock people out. I think we will be in for an exceptional fight regardless but I am unsure of which way it will go.

 

his left hook gets a lot of hype - hes KOd Khan and a shot to hell Morrales it aint all that

 

I don't write a guy like Garcia off. I think very highly of Matthysse but i do think Garcia is a world class fighter who's got more then a chance in this fight.

Matthysse is a guy many would call a brawler but when you delve deeper and watch his craft he's very subtle in how he breaks you down. But he does take chances as he invades your space and can open up and Garcia can counter punch effectively and will have chances to do so.

It's whether he can stand up the power?. Whether he can negate Matthysse's onslaughts and cut down Lucas success. We look at Cleverly the other evening and as soon as he was hit he went into shell. Could the same happen to Garcia who from what i've heard as a good chin.

I think the difference with Cleverly and Garcia is Danny's operated at world class level and had top sparring over the years and also has better defensive skills.

This fight is by no means a walk over for either man. Matthysse has to be careful he doesn't get reckless. He will have more to worry about in terms of power shots coming back then he has for a good while.

I expect Matthysse to be the same guy. Terminator style where as Garcia may play a different hand then he has before.

 

I think Matthysse wins but wouldn't write Garcia off, he's got a better chance in this fight than a lot of people are giving him credit for.

 

Both boxers can get outboxed, but Lucas has more power, Garcia has good timing apart from this he is a standard boxer good in all areas not great in any.

Beating Khan was his only real win, but this was vs a reckless Khan, a more settled Khan boxes rings around Garcia.

Lucas has improved of late and really placing and timing his shots well, I think he will hurt and stop Garcia, but its a pick em fight both more punchers than boxers so hard to side to one.

All you had to do is watch the way he throws his punches then know Cleverly's defense is terrible and it would have only been a matter of time befor Cleverly is stopped

If you watched Kovalev's fighs you would know what he brang to the table

 

i dont think so...if garcia beats lucas fair and square or even better KOs him, he is easily the best 140lb out there... he is the undisputed 140lb king....

i like garcia the boxer, i hate his dad...

Garcia is a top class fighter.....when i first watched it i thought he won pretty easily but i watched it again lately and if Mattysse didnt get the eye injury it could have been very very tight

 

yea... garcia for me proved he is the real deal after that fight.. but yes it was far from a "schooling" by garcia... garcia didn't **** blood and go deaf in one ear from an easy fight.. it was a war...
