I'm just glad Dubois stepped up, win or lose.

He's a victim of very weird match-making in which he faced no real challenges at all and then was thrown in with Joyce: man-strength, deep amateur experience and an iron chin is pretty much the worst kind of fighter for Dubois to step up in class against. Looking back maybe we all overrated Gorman, and Warren did too. That wasn't the step-up we assumed it to be and Dubois' dominant victory in that fight gave an inaccurate assessment of his development. He wasn't ready for Joyce but should not be slammed for giving it a go and coming up short.

The biggest issue is how limited he is in terms of adapting to a fight and negating weapons which are doing him harm. He needs a lot of reconstructing. This will not be a quick job...

I'm glad he made the decision he did. He is the one in their fighting, nobody else, he is taking amd gauging the punishment............. Fighters usually have this innate 6th sense of when they have taken enough punishment. He did the smart think and should not be crucified for it. It's the insane ones that tell that innate 6th sense to beat it we love and admire so mich - its one of the rarest and most precious traits anything can have: gameness, flat-out I'm winning or getting carried out on my shield mother****er. We celebrate that as we should.
