I know it is strange, but I am actually kind of anxious for these two to go at it one last time. I guess its nostalgia, but back when they were figthing, there were a lot of great fighters putting on great fights. Fenech is a three division champ, Nelson, if I remember correctly 2 division. Hell, the man once shared a ring with Salvador Sanchez! Fenech really was screwed out of the first fight, and the way he fought- broken hands, broken noses, pieces of himself left int he ring, he was never that good again. But this is not going to be a gimme- Nelson was a great fighter. Nostalgia- the old days. Stupid or what?
i think this is the first time a fighter will quit a match due to arthritis. con't get me wrong, i know they were great fighters. but the important word here is "were"
Stupid fight, their original two fights were great to watch, Fenech was relentless and the professor was so fluid and technical- they both had incredible cardio too and would fight for every round. Now Fenech's too busy stealing watches and God only knows what Azumah's been upto..:think
Actually I'm looking forward to Tunney-Dempsey III. The bodies have already been exumed, and HBO is starting a 24/7 for the event. During the press conference, Dempseys bones slid over to Tunneys, and both camps erupted into a mini riot. I think Dempsey wins this time.
:rofl:rofl Personally I'm holding my cash for Robinson-Lamotta 7 this summer. Lamotta may be shot but Robinson is decomposed...I think Jake can take this one.
