I'm lead to believe that DeGale is the biggest slapper in boxing history!

The punches that floored Eubank and Mitchell stand out in my mind as been poorly delivered, in terms of turning the fist into the punch.

Eubank got floored twice. The first in the first round was the left hook. I assume thats the one you mean. It was a kind of long looping hook.

The mitchell one was a much shorter left hook although he sort of brought it up from his waist.

To be fair Mitchell said after the fight that he had never been hit so hard so often!

Go watch the fights. His power was better, probably around average at the time, but all of his stoppages were slap flurry ko's for the most part. That does not equate to being a banger.

There are two types of hook.

Ones where you turn, ones where you don't

The one's where you don't like Tyson and Calzaghe are probably better.

Watch from 5 mins in,get to watch Calzaghe's flurries in slow motion. Not the greatest technique but no one could deny that he's connecting with some really meaty shots in amonsgst those flurries.

Ive always thought that was Calzaghe's thing, throwing combinations and loading up in a couple of the punches within them.

    Poor stoppage for me btw.

Pretty much exactly that. What the dumbasses on here can't comprehend is that if Calzaghe truely slapped every punch how the hell do his opponents respect his power? How is he always the one that can come forward and impose himself, can Pauli Malignaggi do that?

He was completely gone. I thought that was a good stopage.
