Then why isn't he a huge star? He doesn't look like he's on his way to becoming a huge star. He also wasted almost two years not fighting.

Who is going to plaster his face all over big boxing cities? Who is going to want to invest huge money to make him into a star? I rarely have ever seen any Mikey Garcia promo.

Robert Garcia may be well known to us hardcore boxing fans don't know the Garcia last name like us. I'm a huge Mikey fan, but the guy is 30 and with his talent and background like you brought up should be a star.

I feel a lot of fighters are making the mistake that they can all be promoted like ODLH, Mayweather, or Cotto.

If an argument can be made for a fighter not needing a promoter is Canelo Alvarez, but he is smart enough to know how far a powerful promotional team can take him.

Yeah, he is an amazing fighter. I think that he and Lomachenko are two of the best smaller guys in boxing. Both technically sound, but naturally gifted. But being a great boxer isn't always enough as is evident with Mikey.

Being a top P4P fighter is not going to make you into a star. We just had P4P #1 and P4P #2 fight two fights with each other in Ward and Kovalev, and both fights flopped and the second one flopped harder. So being the best fighter is not going to necessarily make you a star.

Ok, I can roll with that. I can buy the arguments.

Mikey looked like he was 2-3 divisions higher than Dejan.

You meant Undefeated WBC Lightweight champion Dejan Zlatičanin, he won a vacant belt & his main problem was being very small for Lightweight, if he was conditioned properly earlier in his youth, he could have been a great Bantam World champion. Very skilled, not exactly a Tomato Can, 5'3" guys don't become world ranked at Lightweight unless they have excellent skills to make up for the loss of range, let alone world champions

He looked like the Srpski Tapia

    I'll be honest with you...

I think his resume through 4 divisions fighting proven ranked guys is better than what I think his actual skill and true overall talent is. He has definitely proven me wrong over the last 6 or so years (I've always been down on the guy).

He has gotten hyped pretty extreme the last year. So I wouldn't be too upset or inclined to respond to anyone who was hating him too much, giving him too much love, or anything in between, really.

Lomachenko has called Mikey out at 135, Lomachenko has just come up from 126, he will have come up 9 lbs. to fight Garcia, but Garcia still will not fight Lomachenko.......................Lomachenko will box circles around Garcia..............

Mikey Garcia is a fool if he doesn't take advantage of Vasyl (desperate offer?), Vasyl seems to be looking for as many big fights as he can get while is till relatively young. At 135 it becomes a 50/50 fight, Mikey Garcia will never get a chance like this vs a very light puncher. He moved up to 140 but he didn't fight a natural 140 boxer yet, so this fight is big reward, same risk as any fight vs Natural 140

Golovkin barely beat Jacobs who got ktfo by Pirog and dropped by Mora, tied with a smaller Canelo. Crawford beat a midget Gamboa and noone else who has a name. Lomachenko's only good opponent moved up 2 weight classes and he lost to a journeyman in Salido. Errol Spence only beat Brook after GGG ruined him. Joshua almost got knocked out by an ancient 100 year old Wlad. Etc. Etc. Etc.
