Really good fight in my opinion. Don't think neither of them will outwork the other one. Also size and skills are pretty equal. Lean towards the man who walks this earth like nobody else.
All Martin has to do is push the pace early on and Washington will come apart. Gerald can go 10 rounds, but at a very slow pace. Martin either clear UD or late stoppage.
The Kownacki fight showed the blueprint for anyone in the top 20 to beat Washington. Come into the ring with good stamina levels, and fight at a high pace for every minute of every round. Eventually you break Washington's heart and stop him. Charles Martin isnt that kind of fighter though. He has a languid style and is not a high tempo fighter. So based on this I expect it to go the full 10 or 12 rounds, and for Martin to edge a decision.
That's why I like the fight. Washington can box at his own tempo and show his full potential, the same goes for Martin, size also a nonfactor in this one so the better boxer will come out on top. Pre Joshua fight a lot of people had Martin winning that one, but as soon as Joshua knocked him out, he was just a bum in their eyes. I never thought of him like that.
I see Martin stopping Washington TBQH. Martin is seems to be fairly durable (Joshua fight aside), I don't think anything Washington lands will trouble him too much. Washington isn't a big hitter or an overwhelmingly good boxer. I think Martin has enough power to trouble Washington, Washington has shown in 3 losses that he can be bombed out, overwhelmed and drowned and that he can be pressured into oblivion. If Martin puts his foot on the gas pedal he can definitely beat Washington IMO
If this thing goes the distance that'll be almost an hour of your life you can't get back. However, if Martin wins and can't ko Washington his value as a title challenger will increase substantially. Joshua , Wilder or Fury will be on the phone
Yep Kownacki and Miller showed that if you take peds you can fight at a high pace for the whole fight and wear the other guy out. If I remember right Washington was doing alright against Wilder, till it all went to **** for him.
Yes Washington was winning against Wilder but let's be honest it was only a matter of time until Wilder got him out of there. Wilder barely threw a punch in the first 4 rounds.
Spzilka and Duhaupas were outboxing Wilder before being knocked spark out. It is hardly a feat to out box Wilder On the PEDs issue. Everyone is on it. If you arent on something more fool you
