He tells it like it is. I miss Merchant though. I wish they can both do the telecast together and take out Jim. He annoys the hell out of me.

I went into the other room immediately after the 12th round to look for something but I could still hear the TV a bit cuz the volume was loud. I figured that reading the scorecards would just be a formality.

When I heard 115-113 Katsidis I froze. I didn't even run back to the TV. Just froze. I was absolutely stunned. Thankfully, the other 2 judges watched the fight.

ive always liked max especially his calling out of the stupidity of the sanctioning bodies actions, but he always gives a little too much credence to the concept of the "lineal" champion, which in my opinion in many cases is as stupid as the concept of 4 or more world champs in the same division...

i actually prefer fights to be made just based on the fighters themselves, like the jones-trinidad fight earlier this year with no title at stake, just fights, **** the undefeated records and the trinkets, just have 2 guys fight... the abraham-miranda 2 and pavlik-taylor 2 fights also fit this , with no "titles" at stake

the real boxing fans know who the good fighters are anyway, for example we know alex arthur is like a friggin c-level fighter even though he was a wbo world champion

Is there a link to Kellerman's post-fight comments?

i remember when people wrote displeasing threads about kellerman that where very negative and as much as id like to say that i never wrote anything about kellermans weaknesses i cant be all to sure as the threads where common years ago when he was on espn2.

but i say this strongly and easily with the support of all the nice threads about max kellerman,

max kellerman does a great job

he says strong, colorfull comments that are very critical towards the signifigance boxing and boxers.

he is a true boxing fan and i notice it when i hear his commentating as opposed to other commentators who are just aware of what they see over the relevance of what happening.

Kellerman's closing comments were nicely prefaced, and his out-right attack on the ineptitude/corruption of judging and officiating was most welcome, especially on a high-profile network like HBO.

    1. He called Golden Boy Promotions Judges Corrupt on HBO. Guess what that means? HBO Corporate and Richard Schaefer, Oscar, and the white haired wrinkly old man sitting to Oscar's right on TV are all going to be in a Corporate Board meeting with Max, and he is going to be told to keep his bonehead opinions to himself. I personally hope he gets shitcanned, as he is horrible at what he does. :good

you say the other 2 judges watched the fight,115-113 and 116-112 are too wide in my opinion,at least the right man won, reminds my of the mijares-navarro fight where he dominated for most part but 1 judge had him losing every single round.you gotta worry when **** wits like this determine the outcome of an important fight.

i live in england and have not seen much kellerman commentary/interviews but i thought he did a good job, especially with katsidis' delusional trainer in the interview.

Al Bernstein from SHOWTIME wipes his ass after a Sunday AM **** and flushes away more boxing knowledge, both historical and technical than Max "Bug Eyes" Kellerman and Jim "pom poms" Lampley have COMBINED. :smoke
