Roach took Manny to the well and Manny drank the water.

Not all who go to the well can drink the water , just look at Khan.

It was a magic blend for a while. It was a nice ride.

I don’t mind, No particular order.

Robert Garcia: his ability to construct solid game plans one thing Ive noticed is his guys may not always win but his game plans for the most part are solid and guys who shouldn’t have won, have based on his game plan.

    E. Steward: nothing to really put cept he knows the game inside and out and knows how to maximize a fighters best attributes.

Nacho: solid game plans and he knows his ****

Hunter: simply put he’s a great trainer although I don’t like his corner talk, he whispers sweet nothings into his fighters ears lol I find it amusing to be honest but terrible.

I’m going to get flack for this I know...

    Roger Mayweather/ Derrick James

Keep in mind these trainers are at there peak and not old and beat down it’s not fair the feeble versions against the younger trainers. I wouldn’t want Roach doing my mitt work at his current stage

Roger would do my mitts, Steward would be in my corner for the actual fight.

NO ONE TOOK ANY NOTICE OF PAC IN THE GYM THAT DAY
Iwas days later when Freddie noticed his potential. Freddie helped make pac the great champion he was. no one else seemed to realize his potential

You're missing the fact that Roach helped him transition into a two-handed fighter, where his jab and right hook became formidable weapons that complimented his left. Watch Barrera I and Morales I. And then watch Morales II. That's all Roach.

Pacquiao actually did land quite a few clean flush rights in Barrera I. Though it was always in combination with the left hand. We saw against Cotto that by that time the right hand alone was a weapon in of itself. Whereas in his earlier days the right was always coming in combination.

But Pacquiao never became a true two handed fighter in the sense that he was equally dangerous with both hands.

Ive always said Khans biggest mistake was leaving Roach. I actually think Roach did more for Khan than for Pac

Not really. Every punch is easy to counter if you can see it coming from a mile away.
The reason Manny had more success with his left hand was because he knew better how to set it up. His go to was the jab jab(probing shots, not intended to land) straight left.
But this made him somewhat predictable. Everyone knew he was looking for the straight left hand.

With Roach they worked on setting up the right hook and mainly as a counter punch. It was brilliant.
Here is a really good breakdown on Manny´s right hook. He learned some of those moves throughout the years, just look at his earlier fights at 122.
