It's because Floyd's routine is getting old. Talk a lot, cherry pick, repeat. He takes a tough fight once every few years and this isn't it.

Like the ginger looking knucklehead puto fighting smaller guys and winning a title from a bloated Matthew freaking Hatton for the 154lb belt Pathetic :patsch  and then beating up former flyweight fighters because he wasn't a man enough for his x woman and he got jelly

I lost an avy bet, *******. My normal avy is Cotto, who has the "true warrior" respect Mayweather will never earn.

But Canelo taking on Trout is a much better matchup than the vast majority of Floyd's fights in the last several years. I'd rank it only behind the Oscar and Cotto fights. Thank you for helping me prove my point.

guerrero has absolutely no chance. every time I watch footage of him it further cements it. As someone else said, Cotto is a better fighter (a class above actually) . This is sparring partner material.

    - does very little for his resume, just adds a tablespoon of 'longevity' to aid his ATG ranking. The quality of opponent is not impressive for a Top 50 ATG.

It doesn't feel like a very big fight. But at the very least I'm very interested in this. I want to see how Floyd deals with Rob's speed, pressure, and craftiness. Floyd said his body changed since he was released from jail. This can be very significant. How much has he declined? He said he was going to fight (not box) Rob. Will Floyd live up to his words? There are a few good questions going into this fight. It's not on the level of Canelo-Trout or Rigo-Donaire in terms excitement but if you don't have any real big plans this Saturday, you are going to be glued to your laptop or tv with a cold drink in your hand anticipating this fight (if you're a real boxing fan).

Not that Guerrero has a ghost of a chance (OK, someone had to say it. :blood)

    - but even with a serious opponent, think about how much $$$$ Showtime has invested in Floyd. There is no way in hell they're gonna' let their cash cow get beaten, unless they specifically want to set-up a huge re-match.

Most likely, every Floyd opponent from ow on will be getting a large suitcase stuffed with cash, including a note telling them to take it easy.

#1 WW vs. #3 WW "one of the weakest fights of 2013?"

Yeah, um, ok whatever helps you sleep.

And clearly you're more excited than 90% of the people on here since you've been chiming in and talking about it so much. One has to ask themselves what the agenda is of a poster who has so much to say about a certain fight. :think

The thing is, it's because I love the sport so much that regardless Ill still get the fight....Im just not that pumped about it. It just gives me a reason to get absolutely tuned and scream at my tv. Plus.. I love hearing my buddies scream about how big of a pile of **** mayweather is, meanwhile he styles all over his opponent.:hey
