I don't think he beats any of the other champions at 154 Ortiz, Bakhram Murtazalie, or Fundora.

I don't think he beats Ennis either

Maybe in a few years he can

He's a horrid to watch, pathetic, hug happy fighter. I can't wait until he get violently KO'd.

He's a good fighter but holds way too much.

Wishing harm on someone because they aren't entertaining to you is crazy.

    DONT YOU UNDERSTAND?!?!?!

ALL BORING FIGHTERS MUST BE PUNISHED BY VIOLENT KOESSSS!!!!!

    MUM GET ME PEPSI!!!!

this is all nonsense. i dont think he is great but decent addition to the division. and i dont think he should be given too must attention just becasue he is young. but also shouldnt lose attention or respect just because he won the title by jab and grab. not a "It's a valid competative strategy" sort of guy but he finds the spots that win him rounds. don't like it. then the other fighter has to stop it. you dont get to blame him if you can't beat him.

The kid's got talent and a lot of promise imo. He's been built up properly and been given a lot of experience for a fighter as young as he is. He's really well-schooled and has very pretty technique. His balance is really beautiful, even when throwing huge, 7 or 8 punch combos while changing angles, he manages to stay on balance and shift weight from the balls of his toes so his punches snap properly. That's not something you see very often and certainly not to the level that Zayas does it. He has a well-polished jab and his game seems to be built around punching in between the punches of his opponents, reading their rhythm and answering back in combination. He has some kinks to iron out of course, but he seems humble and willing to learn from what I've seen of him in the corner and outside the ring. This kid has a bright future and could be a big problem for the 154 division.

I think this kid is special, and that the stuff that he's doing in the ring is incredibly nuanced and sophisticated, even if it maybe doesn't make for great TV all the time. If anything, him choosing to shut down Jorge Garcia by fighting a boring fight, is a good sign for how he's developing, since it shows that he's not afraid to win an ugly fight, it shows that he can fight insular and not give the crowd much attention, which is a good trait to have as a fighter even if it doesn't necessarily win you fans.

For **** sake, this is a boxing site. Rooting for a fighter you don't enjoy watching to lose by KO is par for the course. No need to walk on eggshells here. So man up! It's not like anyone is rooting for a death in the ring,

Like its a lazy tactic but if it a lazy tactic works then its definitely not the fault of the tactic employer blame the guy who cant punish on the inside or work effectively at range to stop clinches because the thing people who get so mad at the jab and grab style dont understand is that, the style is actually very easy to deal with.

Xander beats everyone at 154 besides Boots. Even Murtazaliev is going to have problems solving the puzzle. His boxing iq is higher than Shakurs, he would absolutely play with Fundora and pick Ortiz apart.

He can be ht and his lack of power will catch up. I don’t see him beating the other belt holders.

He has no power and bad stamina. I know he's young, so power might come, but stamina?? No excuse. Not a good look so far.
