i'm not boring - zahir raheem

I dont mind watching him.He is not any more boring than Floyd

 

The sad thing is, people use that same rationale to "prove" Baldo-Floyd wasn't boring and that Cory Spinks is exciting.

I love technicians but raheem isn't one of them. His style is frustrating and he's bad for the sport. Raheem is a bad representation of a technical boxer. Gainer and Winky brings more excitement.

Zahir needs a dancing partner to look good. Put him in there with a pressure fighter.

 

Just curious for those of you that say he is really boring. How many of his fights have you actually seen. The majority of fans have seen the MOrales fight and the Freitas fight. Some people saw the Juarez fight but that is about it.

The freitas fight was definatly painfully boring to watch

I don't think that he was boring at all in the morales fight. He outboxed the **** out of morales be while he was avoiding getting hit he was landing a lot of shots of his own. It is not his fault if Morales wasn't able to hit him.

In the Juarez fight (where I feel he was robbed). He also outboxed Rocky while landing plenty of punches of his own and he was fighting 2 guys that night as that was probably the most obviously biased ref I have ever seen.

Those are the only 3 fights I have ever seen from him. Can anyone name any others that you have actually seen and say if you thought he was boring in those fights and why?

 

Ive seen all his fights starting with JOE MORALES( not erik morales ) and let me tell you, he makes Winky look like corrales. Dayam i hate to call fighters pussies but when u see raheem fight, it's hard not to think that way. If there's any fighter out there who " fights scared ", it's raheem. His idea of dodging a punch is to crouch all the way down to the floor which is illegal and he constanly smothers himself no that he wouldn't get hit. **** him, he's boring.

 

Boring or not he's a very good boxer, that's for sure.

 

I don't think many people are doubting his boxing skills. The title of the thread is about whether raheem is a boring fighter or not and most seem to think he hella boring..

 

I do know what the thread is all about BUT I'm just waiting for someone to say Zahir sucks as a boxer he's soo overrated..etc. There are fans out there who tend to diss the skills of a boxer only because they dislike his boxing style or his personality.....Antonio Tarver is one of those fighters.

 

I've only seen his fights with Morales and Freitas but I'd say he's the only guy I've seen who manages to be both a runner and hugger. Hugs like Klitschko and runs like Spinks.

 

Do you feel that he was running against Morales? I don't see how anyone could think that. He outboxed Morales. he didn't get hit but he was punching a lot and landing a lot. For me to consider a fighter a runner he has to be the kind of guy that sacrifices his offense for a good defense. You can't call a guy a runner when he is teeing off on his opponents head like a speedbag just because his opponent can't manage to hit him back.

 

Raheem has all the bad combination as a fighter. YEs, he does box brilliantly at times but rarely.. He's a combination of a runner, hugger, smotherer, and he just stinks out the ****in joint. can't stand him.
