I'm not confident of either guy winning - Kovalev/Ward

Agreed. Good post. People need to stop pretending they know who is going to win. There's plenty to suggest either fighter. I slightly favor Ward but who knows. Just enjoy a great fight of top boxers in their prime. God knows it doesn't happen enough

 

This is an incredibly hard to call fight. But hard to call fights don't always play out as close matches. I mostly hope this fight is very close so that neither side can be as arrogant as they most certainly will be after their guess happens to be right.

 

I agree with you, but what if one of the fighters get robbed? I am afraid of exactly this kind of close fights, because we've seen it many times.

 

This will not be a great fight if Ward has his way. He can only win by making it boring and/or dirty.

I'm backing Kovalev and think he will win ... but I wouldn't put money on it. Too many times in history have quality fighters like Ward pulled off a master plan and nullified the monster du jour.

 

I think the ref is of vital importance in this match.

- If Ward gets away with doing what he wants, he wins
- If Ward doesn't get away with doing what he wants, Kovalev wins.

Reckon the loser will feel the ref didn't give them a fair shake, either way.

Being the ref's American, and a Las Vegas ref who's probably on the take, I'm edging toward Ward.

 

And I think the second to last thing it needs is a Ward victory.

If it's a close fight where it can go either way, why would it be a robbery?

 

When has Ward been in a dirty fight?
He just came back and fought Barrera and Brand and he has not been penalized in any of his fights ever. No point deductions ever!!!
In fact he does what people called great about Wlad Klitschko's reign.

 

This is the closest match up in who knows how much time, i don't think anyone that respects the ability of both fighters can be sure of the result, only the fanboys are sure of what is going to happen.

 

Why are the odds so far in Wards favor? Does somebody know something that I know already?
Las Vegas is jerking me on my $200 too, I thought this was 50/50. I wanted Klitschko vs Fury odds.
