You can expect everything from the judges , what if Ward lands obviously more punches but Kovalev wins with a close decision? Or what if Kovalev knocks Ward once or twice and loose in the end or gets a split decision? My point was that we cannot predict it because it's all about how the judge sees the match not the fans. You can see a close fight , they can see a dominant win for one of thr fighters.

Both your posts dont make any sense. You are far to worried about a robbery. If its a close fight then it can go either way. The only times i yell robbery is when one guy CLEARLY appears to win the fight and doesnt get the decision. When its close all bets are off and i usually dont have a problem with the cards unless theyre obviously way off. For instance if its a close fight and one judge has it 118-110 and the other two judges have it 115-113 then you know there is some bs going on. Relax and enjoy the moment. Its a great fight. A fight that us fight fans deserve. I really hope this is a sign of things to come in the next year or so. Ward/Kov,Garcia/Thurman,Brook/Spence,Floyd/Pac,Canelo/GGG

Actually, he was deducted a point for a low blow against Barrera, I believe. Pretty sure. I can't think of another instance off the top of my head, though.

He and Rodriguez was deducted 2 in their fight because they choose to wrestle rather than box.

That's right. What was that? Were they both deducted a point in the same round, or close together? I recall something about that, but the exact details escape me.

I think they was both grappling all the time for the first couple of rounds, and the ref was Jack Reiss and when he was getting in between them, he got hit a couple of times too, he stopped them and deducted two points off both in round 3 I think, and said anymore and he'd DQ the pair of them, and fined them both $5,000

It was a horrible fight to watch but came across as a bit grandstanding from Reiss too.

I personally pick Kovalev to win, but let's be honest: you can NEVER write off someone of Ward's ability.

    Who is?
I favor Kova in this one, but I'm far from certain. Everything between an early KO for Kova, and a Wide UD for Ward can happen in this bout. Many scenarios possible here.

Fully agree. A Ward SD isn't impossible...

Good post. This Reiss sounds like a bit of a tube but maybe that's what boxing needs. All the clinching has gotta stop.

Easy fight to call, Kovalev wins simple as that, Ward is going to take a bad beating here.

True 50/50 fight for me, My gut instinct is that ward puts on a mayweather type of performance, surgical, chess like and nullifies kov to a clear decision. Kov needs the KO to win imo, i know he can box, but i don't see him out boxing ward but he has a good chance of getting the KO.

my trainer told me today he has his money on kova by KO.. scared me because that guy knows more about boxing then most of us combined ever will and considering how he teaches very heavy defensive boxing style suprised me.

he told me if kova wins i have to spar him until one of us goes down (ward has my life in his hands)
