Im not convinced at all that Bowe could take Lewis power

We know that Lewis could be KOd but we also know Lewis was a better defender and a more caerebral Boxer. Bowes defense was very mediocre and most likely Bowe would have to walk throught at least a few hard Lewis punches to land what he needs to land to get Lewis out.
Bow im not at all convinced that Bowe can take those shots.

Bowe was badly hurt by one single punch from 30 pound lighter Holyfield in the fan man fight.
In the third fight, coming off a great performance against Gonzalez, he got Knocked down by a single left hook from a half dead Holyfield and was pretty much out on his feet and stuck in a corner for the entire round. Holyfield did not land a significant punch for the rest of the round.

The golota fights spoke for themselves Bowes chin looked very very poor in the second one, although he might have been damaged by then.

Holyfield was so gassed out he didnt land a punch for the rest of the round after putting Bowe down, Golota was mentally deranged and didnt have the mental awareness to go about finishing Bowe. So while Bowe showed alot of heart, he was not in there with fighters who had the competence to finish him on those occasions.

Either way if Lewis( a significantly bigger puncher than both golota and Holyfield) hurt Bowe that badly, he might not even need to finish him, Bowe wpuld be in no state to knock him out.

Yes Lewis would be bad news for Bowe on a number of levels.

I suspect that Bowe knew this.

The talk about Bowe having a good chin is a myth. His chin was not good at all. Holyfield floored him in their fights and had him badly wobbled to the point it looked like Bowe was in real trouble. Tommy Morrison hurt and floored Bowe badly in sparring. There is a reason why Bowe's career ended so early and it was because of his weak chin.

This is why i strongly believe that even though Bowe would be a nightmare for Tyson with all the tools he bought to the table i.e. Big man, all the tools in the world, ability to fight inside and perhaps the best tall fighter to ever fight inside, ability to fight outside but his poor defence and Tyson's punching power will eventually catch up with him and Tyson had a much better chin than Bowe and if this is a 1985-88 Tyson moving his head then it is a no contest all together.

I think that Bowes chin was good, but having a good chin is not enough, when you eat punches like he did!

Maybe Bowe taking Lewis's power is IF, but Lewis certainly aint taking Bowe's power...
If Mccall and Rahman can knock him out cold, he's going out on a stretcher if he steps in with Bowe

Having power is no guarantee of beating Lewis.

It is probably a guarantee of having him in trouble at some point.

And having power is probably a guarantee of knocking Lewis out cold with a big right hand

Lewis was harder to hit than Bowe he knew how to keep at long range and always had his lead hand extended so it was near the target and didn`t have to travel far, I`d say Bowe would actually land more jabs than power punches, Lewis ate a lot of jabs specifically before Steward improved his own 1-2.

Bruno was the weakest out of that list Bowe would have beaten him and Americans during Bowe`s prime wouldn`t have considered Bruno a worthwhile fighter compared to the others on your list because he did nothing in the 90`s that puts him in line to fight Bowe while he was champ, Bowe fought Golota who was more dangerous than Bruno after Bowe lost the title in a fight with Holy where Bruno would have given his usual bluster to deceive fast start via a load of weak jabs keeping Holy at range, Bowe had a better chin than Bruno and better combos

It`s who lands first and that would be bad news for Bowe if it was the fired up Lewis that destroyed Golota.

The thing is when Lewis was in the zone and on top of his game which would be assumed against Bowe, those right hands wouldn't be landing.

I would tell it to Mccall and Rahman, but I don't think I could tell that to any of Bowe's opponents?
