I'm not convinced the winner of DeGale v Jack will face Callum Smith

    Who was the best person Liam fought prior to facing Canelo? Where did he realistically rank? He had seen nothing to prepare himself for a fight with a genuinely world class operator and that's both trainer fault as well as the promoter.

    I think if DeGale wins he will move to 175 and target the winner of Kovalev Vs Ward.

    Callum Smith would be too big, too strong for both of those chancers.

    Agreed. You can see Callum has already stagnated under the tutelage of Gallagher, and doesn't really look any better (maybe a little more rounded) than he was a year ago. Joe's style is simplistic and, therefore, easy to pick up which means initial progress is rapid but as a fighter moves up in class, this one-dimensional aspect becomes a hindrance. It's a pity because Callum is a talented fighter.
