At least Haye unified and became lineal champ at 200lbs before taking a belt at HW. He may have been a let down against Wlad, but he's at least proven his credentials as a world-class fighter and has never looked so average as Tony did last night.
forgot about jim watt sayin great shot aswell with that punch after the bell hahahaha ****in hell thats probably when everybody turned against the sky commentary
At the end of the day, people have their preference in what they like with a person. Barely anyone likes how Tony comes across to his opponents and that bull**** headbutting crap. Also, the "I'm going to smash him to bits" rubbish to then come out cautiously boxing, and poorly at that? He shouldn't have to rely on his "home town advantage" either. No real fighter should have to do that 'cos you aren't going to get that when you're fighting for the world title. Tony is a good person at heart without doubt, but could come across much better towards his opponents as it doesn't rub off well, no matter how he thinks it's just who he is. You've got to sacrifice your image in a particular way if you want to be perceived by the public in a different manner.
I think people are been a bit harsh on Tony's performance, both him & Chilemba are top 10 in the world for me. I don't think there's much of a difference between anyone in the top 10, all on a similar level.
Well i saw the lack of class in bellew a long time ago.he is a disrespectful guy. He was a wanker to chilemba for no reason. Same with mckenzie. Now we have to listen to his whinging about the decision for he next few months like with the clev fight where he was screaming "i want no excuses after the fight,il leave yer unconscious me" absolute fraud
So you've got Bellew up with Cloud, Pascal, Dawson and Hopkins? All four would smash Bellew to pieces.
The thing I've never liked about him is that he calls himself Bomber but is an average puncher at best and has been promoted since the beginning of his career as an all action 'Smashing machine' but actually is a cautious safety first boxer who can't let his hands go against anybody above the C level. Allegedly, Matchroom, Sky & Bellew himself have been hyping something that isn't.
