Ok, he had one bad fight. But he'll come back as better fighter. He's going to bigger than Ingemar Johanson. Take that, MrMagic. You swedish poof.
Don't knock the swedes. They do better porn than the Finns. Come to think of it, what has Finland ever done for Porn???
It's not over for Helenius but I expect him to lose when he comes up against a quality boxer. It also seems like Povetkin will give him massive problems if they fight
Helenius has given us some exciting KOs in the past, and he will in the future. People make too much of a single less-than-stellar performance.
Sucks to be you , put some money on him next time he fights a top 1O guy. Ps Your be going home broke Helenius looked good vs shot ex champs. Thats it He is garbage after today.
I never saw the hype with him. Power, thats it and Chisora ate his shots and **** them out like they were nothing and kept on coming. No footwork, no head movement, no defense, dont know how to use his range, pure garbage.
DelBOY finally had his coming out party, fighting full throttle for 12 rounds against a powerful, ironchinned Helenius. Helenius broke his R hand in the first as he sent DelBoy across the canvas. Not taking anything away from DelBoy, as he showed he can bang and hang with the VERY best when he comes to fight. Robbe has been pretty busy this year having 4 fights in the last 12 months, all of which have been against high level opposition. He's the busiest active, big fight fighter today. IMO, he needs to take a rest. Last yr when he fought Levin, he complained of his hand hurting and it was confirmed to have been fractured. Same with the Liakovich fight where he admitted to laying off the R hand early in the bout due to pain and wanting to reserve the full power for the later rounds. His plan had always been to fight for the title in 2013, and there's NO sense in trying to change that goal. He needs to build his upperbody, trim his midsection a bit, and improve his lateral movement. I think 2 fights max in 2012. Dimitrenko, around June and then maybe Chagaev or Fury late in the year before challenging Vitali(if he's still active) for his WBC title. He KOs Dimitrenko in less than 6, Fury in less than 30 seconds, and would likely stop Chagaev before the 10th. All great fights for him, and all champion building bouts.
Well, I don't know why people are surprise about Helenius. Since the Atilla Levin fight it was obvious that if Levin had some kind of a chin, he would have beat the crap out of Helenius. The only thing Helenius can rely on is his power. ONLY thing. This guy is robotic, static and is simply bad. He just got exposed as he should have been since a long long time. I'm glad to see that the ESB community are starting to realize it. The only chance for Helenius: the lack of talent in the division and the fact that he fights for Sauerland, which mean that he is protected and gets homecook decisions.
He's still got potential, but until he develops his fitness and learns how to be both defensively effective and offensively effective at the same time he will never be able to win at the top 20 level, let alone the top 10 level.
